Tell us. You’re the one who evidently believes that you’re GM material.3 points

Wonder if there will be a fanbase that will come back to whenever it is this team will be good. Cubs have stolen an entire generation of fans from the Southside.2 points

I don't trust the drafting or the free agent veteran signings at all. It could get better for sure, but they will have to prove themselves.2 points

Stop complaining. All rebuilds succeed when you intentionally look bad because all draft picks higher than 5 succeed. This means we should expect to lose badly in every game and not feel any ounce of sadness or frustration, for any reason.2 points

All I can hope is the media mocks the White Sox. The fans stay away in droves and wear paper bags. Stuff like that. If they are going to put us through a "worst-ever in Sox history" 110 loss season, they should pay for it as well. Of course the GM has it made. If anybody calls them on this being crap, they can just slyly wink and whisper, 'This is what we want, Mr. Reinsdorf. The No. 1 pick will be beneficial.''' I don't believe in this strategy.1 point

Nope. Bobby Witt Jr is the top high school name right now, but he isn't at their level. We will find out the high school side of it during the summer circuit where the guys really start to separate themselves. An interesting point for anyone who wants Bart because we need a catcher, there are two really good college catchers in the draft next year. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/mlb-draft-rankings-2018-2019-and-2020/ This is fangraphs rankings from before the season. For an idea of the top college guys, look at the USA college national team which is putting out names every week or so.1 point

A rebuild isn’t always about flipping vets. It’s about waiting patiently for the acquired youth to grow and develop inside of your organization at all levels. You know that, right? This is sickening. “You have money, give me tickets!”1 point

God would I love it if they had the balls to move him to LF or CF and put Yolmer at SS1 point

How about not giving up 4 runs in the first inning? Just little things like that would be fine.1 point

I don't know how many times I have to explain to you peons that it is logically consistent to enjoy the game or show and be critical of the team/show. In fact, it is often a major sign of enjoyment. Spending time to write critiques often shows a level of passion/enjoyment. However, it is rather silly to expect the 2018 white sox to compete. We are throwing out James Shields for heaven's sake.1 point

Enjoy the game is funny coming from someone who writes paragraph long rants about 5 hour wrestling shows1 point

At what point can we tune into a game and expect it to be competitive for at least 3 innings? I’ll hang up and listen for my answer.1 point

some of you sours in here are pretty sad TBH. What did you expect? This line up sucks, the pitching sucks, this is just how it is. Enjoy the game!1 point

This lineup will live in infamy.Hopefully in 3 years we see this lineup all over the place when the Sox are in the World Series to show how far they've made it.1 point

Best thing that could happen to him and the sox. He needs to learn how to bounce back from failure before he gets to the MLB. Thats the purpose of the minors.1 point

I do. But I am a Sox fan and I don't like our season being over in early May. And 17 under .500 already. I mean good grief. Also I'm starting to get mad at the severity of the rebuild. I mean it's not like we're guaranteed to draft well. I know we allegedly don't want to be anywhere near .500 during the rebuild years, but it is embarrassing and annoying to suck like this. We've already made the bulk of the trades. We're not going to "flip anybody" on this roster worth a damn. I guess we could still trade Jose A and Beef. But Nate's not bringing anybody; Avi at this rate isn't bringing anybody. Soria for gosh sake isn't bringing anybody. So that only leaves the draft pick as reason to want us to suck and that's not a good enough reason to win 48 games. Finally ... heads should roll over paying Soria what the Sox are paying him. I know I want the front office to pay big bucks at all times to players, but some of the folks on this board who don't want the Sox to ever spend money should be FURIOUS over this waste of money in Soria. Why give him that kind of 'jack?' The man could not strike out Fathom.1 point

I was never more serious in my life. All I wanted was a interview. I would have taken my chances. If JR didn't think I was qualified, fine. I would have given him the most memorable interview of his life. Amongst other things I would have told him just give me 2 years as GM. If I couldn't turn this mess around I would simply leave. He wouldn't even have to pay me that much. I'm semi wealthy and I don't need alot of money. I didn't get a response from JR and unfortunately Hahn was rehired.1 point

Of course yes -- in that our fanbase will overrate him vastly. Lol, sorry.1 point
