Yonder has outs on exit velocities of 71, 66 and 63 tonight. He’s finished and it’s insulting he’s still getting playing time.2 points

Collins 1st official ML AB becomes his 1st hit and he hit it far ! Eloy with 2 hits, Moncada with 2 doubles. Bullpen pitched very well for 4.2 innings. Colome with another save. Tim with 2 hits , Cordell with 3 hits. Sox win 5-4 in 10 innings.2 points

Weird thing to be pulling for there nothing like shutting up the people...who want good things to happen2 points

Abreu won't net you squat in a trade. Knowing the Sox, the majority of the trade value will be them not having to pay the remaining salary.2 points

Welcome back! Dropping a cool 13 like it’s nothing 😎. What about Yelich after their window slams shut this season?2 points

I'm of a different mindset. I think we are too close to putting it all together, to be trading useful pieces, for more prospects. I'd rather see the Sox hold on to the guys who can contribute, going forward and acquire the few guys, to fill the holes. We are going to need a solid bullpen next year, and Colome can help. I'm not necessarily advocating that the Sox trade prospects, to acquire the missing pieces, however I think it's time to at least stop trading away good veterans for more long shot prospects, who may not be ready to contribute, during the window of contention. if ever.2 points

He just looks awful at the plate. I came to expect it with the terrible averages in the minors though. Anybody that can't hit over .240 in the minors doesn't belong in a major league lineup1 point

Osich and Minaya with great efforts tonight. Marshall with first bad game but Rick really left him in too long.1 point

I've had enough of Collins already. Anybody with a 30 hit tool at best has no business in the mlb1 point

Hard to string together a lot of wins when you have one pitcher who can give you a quality start.1 point

Alexei was a GG-esque shortstop and he made some boneheaded plays. It happens. He's got to improve and I bet he does1 point

We had Lynn on the ropes in the first and now he completes 7. You have to put good pitchers away in the early innings when you have the chance.1 point

Evan Marshall reminds me of Matt albers. Very underwhelming stuff, a decent run that make idiots think he's reliable, and then he turns into a pumpkin1 point

That’s 4-3 so far on the stretch that was supposed to banish us back to the dregs of the AL1 point

That is pretty normal if you graduate like 5 or 6 top 100 prospects in the last 3 years. Kopech, giolito, lopez, moncada, eloy all graduated so having like 5 top 100 left is pretty decent. Also Rutherford, hansen, dunning and fullmer have been ranked top100 by some publications but it didn't work out. The cubs systems wasn't great either after their guys all graduated. You have to look at prospects plus young mlb guys, nobody graduates tons of guys and remains a top system, farms are cyclical. The big issue w the sox is not lack of prospect depth but the rate of injuries and underperformance, their young guys simply didn't hit immediately like the Braves or cubs kids. Fortunately gio and moncada seem to have turned the corner, sometimes it takes time.1 point

No chance the White Sox get a top of the market guy. I’m an NPB fanboy, so take it with a grain of salt, but there’s a 75+% chance that Shogo Akiyama will be available as a true free agent this offseason. I think he’s exactly the type of player the Sox need, and I think the fact that he’s already a bit past his prime will make him affordable. He’ll be 30 or 31 going into next year. He was an elite defender in CF in his prime, and has definitely lost a step, but would definitely still be average or above in a corner. The arm strength is fringey but the accuracy is excellent. As a hitter, he’s extremely disciplined and complete; a high-contact doubles hitter who will run into 15-20 homers naturally, although he’s had more the past couple years. And he’s still fast, if not quite as fast as he used to be. And he’s a left-handed hitter. I think he can be a sneaky 2-3 win player in the MLB right away, and I think he’ll be affordable because his upside is behind him.1 point
