  1. I just realized, if all games are in Arizona... Adam Engel is gonna be a god damn All Star.

  3. What the fuck does his weight have to with his ability to be a sports radio host? At least he’s not some douche who thinks talking shit on an anonymous message board makes them a badass.

  4. Turns out the anti Federalists were right all along! I think it's probably bad for the President to be pushing the FDA and CDC on what drugs to research based on Facebook posts his son in law saw, but that's just me.

  5. No idea how anyone would prefer no season when 1) our core will be accruing a year of service time either way and 2) we’ll all be going stir crazy from social distancing / quarantining. Three or four month of White Sox baseball on TV sounds like a gift from the gods right now.

  6. 100% agree. I'd almost rather there not be a season.

  7. January 3 China notifies US of viral outbreak followed by cover-up about viral transmission. Former US technical rep in Wuhan was removed by US by or before this benchmark. March 13 US declares national emergency. The 70 days of US reaction/ response in between are quite disturbing.

  8. My parents watch Mass on TV on Sunday morning and then also watch my cousin’s Lutheran service for his sermon in their pool in Florida. To that idiot in the CNN clip, there is absolutely no reason to leave your home to attend services, if you want to see your friends do a video chat or watch the service online. Don’t be an ignorant moron and risk getting others sick!

  9. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/490908-florida-other-states-allowing-church-services-during-coronavirus Absolutely infuriating and embarrassing. The politicians and pastors allowing and encouraging this are criminals. These pastors just see this as an opportunity to prey on the weak and extract more money from them. It's time these enterprises start getting taxed.

  10. This has all already been decided. Passan and Rosenthal wrote about. Players will get paid for the number of games they actually play based on their regular salary.

  11. Gonna be tough to get excited about a season in minor parks with no fans. The game just won't be as exciting.

  12. It's really a state problem, the Feds should not be involved. Did you see I am #1 on Facebook?

  13. This article suggests that the length of time needed to deal with this is not weeks or months, but years: https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2020/3/17/21181694/coronavirus-covid-19-lockdowns-end-how-long-months-years?fbclid=IwAR3vjyS_3itpCSdEkb_asq27yoQ9xdP6nKNN4HT3dm81lPa9vUe0-K6XdGk

  14. Someone should ask POTUS if he is a wartime President or a federal back up. You can’t be both.

  15. The federal government's response to this has been abysmal. There has been plenty of denial, lack of urgency, and almost no competence. It is still abysmal. It is not just disturbing; it is outrageous. And the idiots who ranted about hoaxes should crawl into a hole and never come out. We've lost valuable time, and people died as a result. Trump has his nerve running for re-election. He should be resigning.

  16. The ongoing cruelty and pettiness is condition normal, no biggie. I will ensure that he never disowns what he did to cripple our pandemic response. I will paint messages on Willis Tower if I have to. You own this buddy.

  17. Still can't believe the federal government is turning over medical supplies to private distributors who then mark them up and force states and hospitals to bid against each other. Wonder what sort of financial stake some of them have in these companies. Edit: not just turning over their own supply but seizing orders by the states

  18. Absolutely it should, but I lost hope for those morons regarding ANYTHING months and months ago. Jeff Bezos asking for public aid to pay his employees despite being worth TWELVE figures is laughable. He should've volunteered to be worth 11 figures and donated $12B to this. Asshole.

  19. It may be frowned upon, but I wish announcers who grew up Sox fans (like Jason) would fold in Hawkisms and Farmerisms once they settle in. It'd be a nice way to see a vocabulary grow across generations of Sox announcers.
