  1. Nobody is blaming the loss on TLR. Those of us who have commented on the use of Garcia are actually just pointing out that it was the absolute wrong in game management decision by TLR. Its common sense to bring a player to the plate who can tie the game with one swing. We had 3 of those guys who stayed on the bench in favor of Garcia. Learn the game before you comment and maybe give TLR a call and teach him once youve figured it out.

  2. This is what the LaRussa stans fail to understand, or just don't want to. It's not about the game today. It's about Game 165 or 166, where he is calling for a bunt in the third inning, or using Leury because of a matchup, or playing for a single (whatever the fuck that means) or not knowing when his starter is gassed.... It's the same reason I keep brining up the record of Ricky last year at this time...........that was all fine and good, but we knew he wasn't a big game manager and we all saw what happened. And I know this is where LaRussa's lab rats come over the top and say "He's in the Hall of Fame, he knows how to manage in a big game!" but that was a decade ago. The game has changed, as has LaRussa. We're all hoping for the best. But there are very obvious warning signs...............Cody Parkey says hello

  3. What a stupid comment. Keep your dumb political opinions to yourself. I'm sure any Trump supporter is smarter than you "Greydawgfan". Yeah, they must ALL be Trump supporters for having a differing opinion on a completely unrelated sports topic. What an amazingly dumb hot take. Please take that garbage someplace else.

  4. 13 hits the entire year, Grandal may very well be the worst player I can remember over a 2 month period in a long long time, horrendous framing, constant catcher interferences 40+% strikeout ratio, just God awful, reminds me of Dunn's first year on the Whitesox

  6. What’s so hard to understand. It’s TLR’s job to know Clase is vastly more effective against lefties. He put the team in the worst position possible to win by putting his worst hitter in hit from the left side while keeping one of his best hitters on the bench. Mendick and Anderson were vastly more likely to hit than Leury and Hamilton. It should have been a no brainer. only explanation is TLR is ignorant of the relevant facts at hand

  7. Vaughn and Anderson might as well be Mantle and Ruth compared to lefty Hamilton and Lefty Leury against Clase. Why do you have to make excuses for a bone headed managerial decision? My goodness.

  8. Throwing away a game against your closest competition with Bieber on the mound tomorrow is not very wise.

  9. Tough second game. It’s been fun hanging with you ladies and gentlemen today. If any of you have a family member or friend who gave the ultimate measure for the country, my condolences and gratitude. For those serve or have served...Thanks! Enjoy the rest of the evening. Go Sox!

  10. My dead Grandma just called. She wondered how many singles were we looking for there? She thought that you might want to bring someone with power to the plate to represent the tying run after Lamb singled. "HOF baseball person my ass" she said as she hung up.

  11. This loss is on LaRussa. Horrible managing.

  12. Does LaRussa realize that a cutter moves INWARD to a lefty and is even more difficult on lefty than a righty... and that Leury Garcia IS NOT a good hitter from the left side? I hate this guy.

  13. Say what you want about Ricky, but he always had his guys back

  14. Who Jake Lamb, the guy rocking a 142 wRC+? Come on, if there is ONE THING you cannot reasonable critique La Russa on this year it's his lineups. He has pushed almost all the right buttons on who plays and where.

  15. Kudos mr Hall of Fame asshat manager, you have successfully worn down one of your biggest critics to the point that they just don't have the energy to ridicule your revolving 2 hitter carousel any more other than being meta about this comment. Well Done jerk ass.

  16. How about we leave the game alone the way it was for decades?

  17. This idiocy need to stop - its unbelieveable. Ricky let him beat us last year more than once - one thing i can say is other teams do the same dumb shit with abreu. It truly is amazing how fucking dumb we are with ramirez.

  18. LOOK AT THE WHITE SOX RECORD RIGHT NOW! HE IS IN THE HALL OF FAME! WHAT ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT?!?!?!

  19. No one is blaming the loss on LaRussa, buddy. Fans are tired of their manager not giving the team the best chance of winning the games. You do shit like this in a close post-season game and that's a bad thing.
    3 points
  20. No one mentioning that Leury is contractually obligated to get into every game this season and that was the last chance to put him in. Dummies!

  21. You have one post. That's it. And then you drag politics into your mess? All over a manager who has the same politics. You can't make up this level of desperation. Seriously come up with a new schtick or find a dumber social media outlet to post on.

  22. Vaughn, Collins and Anderson on the bench as the tying run... and Leury Garcia and Billy Fucking Hamilton hit again... as a lefty vs Clase. This is just fucking mind boggling.

  23. It would’ve been surprising if Yermin didn’t have a stretch like this during 2021. Real question is what happens going forward. Net net everything is still really positive for him, but nobody can make a definitive LT judgement based on the last 1-2 weeks

  24. Speaking of useless, your last 18 posts have been used up on bitching about Yermin Mercedes. Maybe you should try making some adjustments.

  31. This game is a typical white sox game in Cleveland feel. You got an ump calling strikes foot off the plate Our best pitcher throwing meatballs Defense making poor plays... Some random jabroni pitcher shutting us down Wonder how it ends......

  32. It's actual better to have a decent hitter 9 because it can set the top up. The biggest thing in lineup construction is to avoid putting two really awful hitters back to back.

  33. Why doesn't that make sense? They called up Burr when Kopech was placed on bereavement list so his spot is already filled.

  36. So the obvious logjam is 1B/DH where you have Frank Thomas, Paul Konerko and Jose Abreu. Frank is obviously in, so it's between Konerko and Abreu. I give a very slight edge to Konerko but it's razor thin. I'll take Fisk at C, Appling at SS, Ventura at 3B, and Minoso at LF as obvious choices. I go with Collins over Fox at 2B and Baines over Ordonez in RF Comparing guys from the very early years is hard but I'll give Fielder Jones the nod over Lance Johnson. For the bench I give AJ the nod at backup C over Lollar due to being a lefty bat. Abreu's bat has to be on the team. Need an infielder and outfielder and will go with Ray Durham and Lance Johnson. Chose Johnson over Ordonez because there is already plenty of righty power on the team and Lance brings some speed. Starting rotation: Ed Walsh, Chris Sale, Eddie Cicotte, Jack McDowell and Mark Buehrle. Joe Horlen and Wilbur Wood are spot starters/long relief. Bobby Thigpen, Keith Foulke, Hoyt Wilhelm, Matt Thornton and Jose Quintana in short relief.
