Not worried. I think Reynaldo Lopez will be a breakout star in the postseason, and TLR will ride him like McKeon rode Beckett en route to a World Series.4 points

We’ve always seem to prefer older veteran players over young players -we give up too quickly on young players- Daniel Hudson, Marcus Semien, Nick Madeigal -the list goes on and on But we can’t get enough of the Todd Frazier’s and Melky Cabrera’s4 points

Relievers are so volatile except for a couple of the best of the best in their primes. Kimbrel had already shown major regression over 4 years..he had one nice 30 inning stretch. Ill never get over the fact that we could have had Kimbrel for FREE in the off season and the cubs would have likely paid a little salary to trade him. 3 months later were trading two nice pieces and paying the bill..unreal4 points

Bryant is/was literally the perfect player for this team and he went for 25% of what the Sox gave up for Kimbrel. It will never make sense to me how the Sox didn't end up with him.4 points

If Rodon can only hold his velo for ~2 innings, the Sox are going to regret not building Kopech at all in the second half4 points

Your argument was over a fictional trade that you don't even know would have happened? When you're getting upset about fictional scenarios you invented in your head, it might be time to step away.4 points

I suggested when the TA scandal broke that TLR call a meeting with TA, his wife, and thicc side chick to remediate the dispute. Big misstep if he didn’t intervene.3 points

Another guy online who knows how to identify a good leader in professional baseball while sitting home on his couch. Amazing stuff.3 points

Ehhh. I don’t know about that. Pretty obvious we weren’t getting the early season Rodon anyway. Giolito, Lynn and Cease still pretty darn good 1-2-3 punch.3 points
-
Great effort there in the 9th. I think I'd rather see that kid who imitates Kimbrel than the real thing...in fact I'm sure of it.3 points
-
Imagine giving up two solid pieces for the right to pay a closer coming off two bad years 16 million dollars to be your set up man.3 points
-
It’s hard to picture this team performing well against good pitchers. They should be so much better considering how great Grandal and Robert are.3 points
-
What they're doing with this roster is pretty impressive. We've under performed our run differential by 4 wins. They've over performed their run differential by 3 wins. Surely some of that is the manager.3 points
-
I think the Sox would be a lot better than 8 below .500 in 1 run games with Hinch as the manager.3 points
-
Cesar tried to hit into the DP. Why even put him on the playoff roster3 points

Happy Rodon Day everyone! His health is the only important thing in this game.3 points

I'm 100% in on "Luis Robert is really good and getting better" articles.3 points

i'm drunk and I hate this fucking trade now. unless the sox win the WS this year despite kimbrel this move is a bust.3 points
-
This is exactly what I spent the season talking about. You can't expect a guy who hasn't made it through an entire season in years, to make it through an entire season AND the playoffs. Rodon just isn't that guy.2 points
-
Rodon hasn’t thrown over 5 innings in 2 months. Hard to dominate anyone doing that. Things weren’t suddenly changing at the snap of some fingers once October rolled around.2 points
-
I mean honestly, besides Lynn, has Hahn made any good trades for veterans? We can give the FO credit for making good trades for prospects, but our trades for veterans almost never work out and we always overpay.2 points

He’s saying what I would if I was hoping for a big contract in a few months2 points

Outside of 2005, what I remember most of White Sox playoffs in my lifetime is the offense disappearing in the postseason....that is honestly what I'm most concerned of happening this season.2 points
-
Looking forward to the White SOx sweep. Please post your houston ticket before the series starts so i can unload on the Sox. If there's one thing more wrong than how the sox have played, it's you when proclaiming something bad about the team and what is guaranteed to happen. Sox win WS now; thanks Joe!2 points

Sox just can’t hit bullpens. This is embarrassing. Again, there is nothing that suggests this team is a contender.2 points

I was told kimbrel was unstoppable and the greatest piece the sox could possibly have acquired2 points

Not even joking, Kimbrel trade is worse than tatis trade. At least we had no clue tatis was going to be a superstar.2 points
-
we gave up 5 years of Madrigal and Heuer for this turd. Heuer since the trade: 25.2 innings, 0.84 WHIP, 1.40 ERA2 points

I think a lot of the Ricky criticism stemmed from Stone, honestly. Stone knows he isn't allowed to criticize Tony the way he was Ricky. If he was bashing Tony every day on twitter/radio I think the narrative around how Tony has handled the team in September would be drastically different.2 points

We'd still be leading if Cesar Hernandez decided to at least play pony league level defense.2 points
-
Goodwin is not seeing the ball well tonight. Lots of check swings. They really need to stop playing him.2 points

seeing this Tigers team playing so competitively lately against the Yankees and Sox makes me wonder just how great AJ Hinch would be as the Sox manager. One can dream.2 points

For someone that would continually mock Madrigal for his lack of power, Madrigal has a career OPS of .133 higher than Kelenic in the same number of plate appearances. And apparently Kelenic’s defense is horrendous too. Thought this guy was 5-tool?2 points
-
His flaws have always been there. Now whether people want to see them or not is a different story. But sure, make it about Chris Sale, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and everyone else.2 points

There is next to no chance Leury isn’t on this team next yeS. My guess: 2/$7M early in the offseason will work for both sides.2 points

Part of I think what people are forgetting about the Kimbrel trade is that it eases the strain on people like Bummer. I don't think it's a coincidence that Bummer and Crochet have pitched better since that trade. The pressure isn't there for them to be THE GUY. They just have to be key part of the bullpen.2 points

Vaughn is the oldest looking 23y old I’ve ever seen. Dude looks like he could be a 50y old Chemistry teacher at a high school.2 points

A 9 man pen is too many. Every guy can pitch every game there are plenty of off days and this is why guys are being handled with kid gloves now. I fear that Sheets will get bumped for Engel, Goodwin and Hamilton.2 points

Yeah. It’s always been dumb. Trading long term cheap control over a 3 war floor 2B for an over paid reliever is fucking dumb. Not to mention adding Heuer who had a decent chance to be close to as good as Kimbrel the next 18 months anyway, and a potential future closer. It was a bad trade and it will get worse. Would be nice if Kimbrel would stop giving up runs and at least do his part.2 points
