It never ends. This is like 1968 1975 and 1988 all over again. Instead of Milwaukee, Seattle and St. Pete. its fucking Nashville. What on earth have Sox fans like myself done to deserve this crap.

I missed that 1973 game as a kid but my friend (Cub fan) gleefully told me about it the next day. He claimed that Bahnsen glared at Melton for a long time after that play.

This crap is like a never ending soap opera with these former players. Keep your mouth shut and Move On. Worry about how you are going to contribute to your new team.

Fisk's release was handles horribly by the White Sox front office, but I think his decision to wear a Red Sox cap was based more on the fact that he was from New Hampshire and grew up a Boston Red Sox fan. I thought I read somewhere that he wasn't happy with the Red Sox organization either and Joked that he was going to wear his little league hat to the Hall of Fame ceremony

My Dad was a Sox fan although everyone else I knew growing up in NW Indiana were Cubs fans. Played catch with the guys down the street and argue which team was better. They could watch their team on crystal clear channel 9 while I watched the Sox on fuzzy uhf channel 44. When my Dad took me to my first game in 1971 I half expected to see the team playing in a fuzzy haze.
