  1. Naivete would be finding out that the new 'Park Jerry' is AI only. It's still sort of almost kinda real.
  2. Adding to the historical charm, the only source of artificial light will be the fans' cell phone flashlight settings, sponsored by Duracell on Google Play.
  3. I would hate to hear the word Wrigley south of Madison St. Bridgeport is a big yawn where teams go to die. The new location changes everything.
  4. To me the parking is a red-herring because I am not paying $50 for the privilege it will surely cost. Wondering what the useful life of the new park will be projected as. Also I was waiting on any comments about what the field dimensions should be or what they are considering. Finally, will there be any gender-neutral plumbing accommodations for either the players or the fan(s). If they extend the river walk it would allow a wonderful safe hike from the Loop offices with a group of walkers.
  5. If you have a shitty org run by your drinking buddies a new park isn't going to fix anything. GRF is fine but the new plan sounds exciting. Let's see where it goes.
  6. Our grandchildren are going to enjoy it.
  7. If the Sox are using the ISFA as funding authority I would suggest JR needs to step up and pay off the GRF loan. Otherwise we don't want to hear about it and he should be embarrassed.

I think I will enjoy ST more than the season while learning about the new guys. I might not follow the season as much this year. This org is fairly dysfunctional. Getz is ho hum and likely has little financial authority. JR has become Cornelius Mack.
  9. The only downside is the site might literally be a cesspool but it's OUR cesspool.
  10. As long as there is room for Reinsdorf Tower beyond LF.

Sox-Cubs two weeks from tomorrow. It's time!
  12. Sox don't have enough fans to fill those seats but they might draw some tourists. Half of us will never see first pitch.
  13. Chiefs 24-21. I am rarely wrong. The bookies have banned me.
  14. There might have been a few hit songs that were only heard live. Stay and Runnin Back To Saskatoon come to mind. Conquistador live release was much better and a pretty big hit. The Who Shakin All Over was live only. American Woman Live At The Paramount is amazing. Maybe I'm Amazed?
  15. By the time Tim saw his career flame out it was too late. His demos don't always inspire second chances like a guaranteed deal. Hope he is working out somewhere.
  16. Give Hahn Lite some cred for finding OF bodies. Gavin is going to rock in the IL.
  17. M's ecstatic over grabbing Santos from Chicago. Drs. Moe Larry and Curly wanted in surgery.
  18. Clogging is no longer an unqualified item of emphasis in MLB. If you have a couple of productive fence-busters you look the other way. The grindy guys can do your un-clogging as needed. They need Vaughn to perform at an .850 OPS level to become a fixture at 1B.
  19. This one is a head-scratcher. If JR is basically the Trump of Chicago in real estate, did he do anything of note to make Bridgeport/ Armor Square a more desirable destination. I know there were a number of upgrades made east of the Ryan before the bubble burst in 2008 but if JR is our Chicago RE mogul what hath he wrought??
  20. Having good gloves is the only way to max out at 70 W's. The new pitching is likely 4A fodder but maybe a couple of turds will float to the top of the barrell. Getz is a ham and egger, small-timer. Good match for a droll Grifol. Strictly second division personnel but JR will choose to hate us instead of himself.
  21. Question assuming the new park faces NE instead of SE how do the wind patterns factor in and what should the dimensions be? My first guess would be to add five feet distance to the walls all around and see how it plays. There might be an algorithm for analyzing this.
  22. The issue is two non-sluggers in the corners hosting teams in a home run park. The Sox are vary gracious to their guests. If the visitors are hitting more HR we can guess the results.
  23. They don't need a new park in Bridgeport. They need a new park where people want to hang out and act stupid. I like Bridgeport.
  24. I see no evidence of a rebuild. Just picking up warm bodies and treading water is not a rebuild. Maybe they will try harder this year.
  25. Sox are extra-bad at these kind of maneuvers. He can play for Charlotte.
