  1. Feeling positive vibes. Few predictions today. Velasquez turns in a quality outing. Moncada (yes, Moncada) homers. Vaughn homers. Abreu has multiple hits/RBI's. White Sox sweep.
  2. But now that's the only run we will get. Since Leury is up and Robert couldn't score on that.
  3. Exactly. Dylan isn't doing this on purpose. It's obvious these pitches are just getting away from him. Last inning McGuire wanted a fastball up and in on Baez. Cease actually hit the corner low and away. But McGuire had to basically dive down for the damn thing. So, he didn't get the call. He's really fighting for every inch out there tonight.
  4. Was just going to comment. He hit that right on the screws. A little more elevation on it and it would have looked like last night's bomb to center.
  5. Would be so nice for Abreu to just killshot the Tigers yet again right here.
  6. In search of his 6th consecutive multi hit game. I'd say so. It's been big for the offense. Now if the staff could just wake back up.
  7. I have been meaning to post this question in a game thread for weeks, but then I skip it. But it KEEPS happening. We ABSOLUTELY HAVE to be towards the top of the league in 1st inning runs surrendered, no? Either that, or towards the bottom in times holding an opponent scoreless in the 1st? I feel like we fall behind in the 1st every other game.
  8. Kim (Jays player's profile you see at 0:23) *looks around in disbelief* "HOLY SHIT" lol... Yeah, that's about my reaction.
  9. Phew... Kind of thought Graveman was up shit creek there.
  10. I don't know. But... this officially marks the first day that I am truly concerned about this team and have legitimate doubts about whether or not they'll get it together. There's plenty of time, but I've watched too many days of the same old song/dance over and over to stick with my "Ah, it'll be alright" attitude. I am not saying we're screwed, but I don't know if it will be alright anymore. This is really ugly right now. Nothing is showing signs of changing. I was hoping by now that we would at least be trending in the right direction. That most of our struggling bats would have their OBP's and SLG%'s showing signs of life and trending upward. Watching this team currently feels like a chore. When they fall down by more than one run, it feels like it might as well be a hundred runs.
  11. Losing Rodon really isn't this team's issue right now. Kopech has slid into the rotation and done exceptionally. The injuries to Lynn and the rest of the guys still out - along with the slow starts with our bats and reoccurring bullpen struggles would not be any different. I am not sure he moves the needle for this team as much as (some) people think he would. We're a .500 team right now and deservedly so. Once Lynn is healthy, assuming he still resembles the guy we saw last season, our rotation is our greatest strength. It should be in the mix for being one of the best in baseball. Our rotation is in very good shape. I don't regret letting Rodon walk - as much as I regret going into the season with other question marks (which we short changed) that are proving to be holes. Now, we're in the position of having to probably mortgage a portion of our future away in order to fill those weak spots at the deadline, if we wish to truly contend for a WS title this season.
  12. Rodon didn't have trade value his last couple of years here. It would take him getting through a full season of pitching like this and staying healthy before I truly regret not giving him 2 years/44 mil.
  13. Agreed. I hate listening to that guy. He's not amusing. The whole shtick with him was funny for the first 5 minutes I had ever heard it, YEARS ago.
  14. I won't buy into anything being our "turning point" until it involves our bats doing the work.
  15. Wow. Bravo, Foster. Magnificent f'ing job and a magnificent pitch to punch out Happ. Hell yes!
