  1. I just don't see how you put Robert between Eloy and Vaughn when he's coming back from a lower body injury like he is. Vaughn can make the plays you need him to make but he still lacks range.
  2. Nothing makes me change the channel faster then when high heat comes on MLB network
  3. There are actually people stupid enough to do this?
  4. Maybe Jerry sees Tony struggling a little bit and decides to open up the check book to give him some help. Thats what a good friend would do.
  5. I really don't want to see an outfield with Vaughn and Eloy at the corners. Especially in the playoffs. Eloy finds ways to get hurt. Keep him at DH and maybe let him eventually try first. But I think you need to remember he hurt himself sliding into home for no reason at the end of the regular season which ended up hurting us against Oakland as well. Does the risk of having him in the field outweigh the reward? He's a hitter, let him hit.
  6. I just don't see whats so hard about reading all of the language of a new rule. Seems like something every manager should do. It shouldn't take an in game experience to learn something that is new this year. David Bell said this when asked about it "the league made it really clear that it was going to be a new rule in spring training"
  7. MLB? No. They lead the American league with 7 tho... somehow the dodgers have blown 12
  8. Its clear this team will battle TLR all year
  9. Moncada is so smooth on the move
  10. I wouldn't let Eloy touch an outfield glove again.
  11. Robert did say he's feeling a little lethargic but this is pretty ridiculous
  12. Probably because almost every underlying stat shows his stats are going to get better. Do you really think he will bat .108 on all balls he hits in play this year? his walks are up and strike outs are down. Usually I just like to observe on this board but its so obvious some folks here just watch sox games and live in their bubble. Trade him for who exactly? To play collins everyday? Lower iso, more K's and less walks. We really think those 3 infield singles the other day from him is sustainable? I swear some live in fantasy land here. Lets see where he's at in july. If he's hurt I wouldn't mind an IL stint at all.
  13. I still don't see where people come up with this regression for Grandal in 2020. He was one of the best catchers in baseball last year. Has he been horrible in his 15 games this year? Absolutely. But 15 games is 15 games. Grandal has a .108 babip rn compared to Mccanns .297. Grandals wrc+ is 74 compared to mccanns 77. Both have been bad to horrible so far.
  14. SD has a very good fan experience imo, I saw a game there a few years ago and its a very nice park plus the weather makes it better.
