  1. A.J. Puckett recently threw a simulated game as he recovers from an elbow injury. This was posted on June 14. Latest info I could find on him
  2. I wonder how similar Madrigal’s hit tool and baseball iq are compared to Jeter when he was drafted
  3. That would be a nice accomplishment for him. I never understood why the MLB draft is during the college season instead of waiting til it’s over?
  4. I’ve seen enough from him to know that I no longer want him in a game that isn’t a White Sox affiliate.
  5. I’ll take that from the Sox lead off hitter for the next 10+ years every day!
  6. That’s basically what they go on. Puk, Reyes, and Honeywell are done for the year yet they’re still in the top 30
  7. No draft picks from this year made it
  8. He’s getting moved down to seventh because Ricky thinks Anderson gives the Sox a better chance of winning, I suppose. How does that impact a kid mentally?
  9. “Win-now” seems to defeat the purpose of a rebuild. Hahn looks over at JR and KW in the suite and says “ how cute, Ricky’s trying to win-now.”
  10. How the hell is making an out in the 7th spot better than lead off? Is that the development process these days? Why bother having him play at all if he can’t hit “certain” pitching?
  11. Bench player on a good team. Starter on a shit team. 60 wins for sure!
  12. Jimenez and Cease for Quintana? Talent evaluation skills definitely lacking on that deal for sure
  13. I didn’t realize he pitched 54 innings innings last year. He’s only pitched 18 innings in AAA this year, and has been on the DL since May 4.
  14. Funny that Martes isn’t in the Astros top 30 anymore. He was the guy the Sox wanted in a Sale or Quintana deal right?
  15. Jimenez grounds out to pitcher in his first ab
  16. What I don’t understand is how people can say Abreu wouldn’t get us a Whitley or Tucker from the Astros when they have no major league track record. How do metrics tell us that we couldn’t get either one of those guys in a trade for Abreu?
  17. What in the world happened to A.J. Puckett? Isn’t he supposed to be part of this as well?
  18. So what I take from all of this information is that there’s no way to know if Abreu’s numbers would be any better if he was with Houston from the beginning of the year, and that his WAR and whatever other metric numbers won’t increase the rest of the year if he was playing with Houston. That’s based on what he’s done with the Sox so far. Do we really believe a bat like Abreu’s in the Astros lineup wouldn’t change what the metrics say for him?
