Soldier Field for The Sox, with that downtown backdrop. Yes, it be a nightmare trying to get to 81 games there, but who cares.

$75M = One of the worst White Sox LF Seasons

Could say the same about TA and Moncada. I have no idea how these guys can't get the ball out of the park anymore. -

Well, "the money ended up getting spent." Unfortunately it was spent on a complete pile of s%*#. -
Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
HOFHurt35 replied to maxjusttyped's topic in Pale Hose Talk
People continue to make the argument that attendance doesn't matter, completely false. It's not just about $$$ in ticket sales, bad attendance creates a domino effect in a lot of other revenue sources. Empty stadiums are a marketing nightmare. A team cannot solely operate on TV revenue and revenue sharing. You have to still be a marketable product. -
"The money will be spent"

I think you're probably in the right direction, dead weight for dead weight. Although Perez is tied up for 3 more years, therefore a lot more money would need to be coming back our way. It's just a bad situation every season it feels, we're always carrying a guy on our roster who is too expenses to cut lose (for this owner) and then we have to carry him into June / July.
-
Reinsdorf is a pro-labor guy. He won't send you home without getting at least half a year of service.
-
The Moncada situation for next season is getting close to having to unload him for another team's bad contract. He's that bad (or physically broken)
-
Other than Hahn, all other teams understand not to invest heavy $$$ on the bullpen. Plug and play, they don't work, discard and try the next man. Bullpens are a crapshoot.
-
Well, it has allowed him to pitch through 7 BB games. So yes, only when you have elite stuff can you get away with that.
-
I guess Steve Stone agrees with me, Dylan Cease still has elite stuff. But what does he know about pitching.
-
If anything, let's home these last 2 months make something out of Andrew Vaughn. The Sox badly need for him to be force in this line-up.
-
I highly disagree.
-
Really wish there was a deal that could have been made for Dylan. Stuff is still elite, but very taxing. He's a 5 inning pitcher.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture

You can only hope that more scandals (although these being light scandals) and embarrassments forces the board to turn on Reinsdorf. But like many have said, as long as they're getting paid, they don't care. However, I think attendance and sponsorship will be in for a very rude awakening come 2024. Lots of season ticket folks I know are calling it quits, some with tenure going back almost 20 years. You start losing those folks, it's over. -
Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture

This all comes full circle. Many of here, including myself, took offense to Abreu speaking negatively about the Sox a few months back. “I think sometimes talking about the past can bring a lot of animosity, but I think the best way I can put it is just that we weren’t a real family.” -José Abreu (via Chicago Sun-Times) Abreu wanted to be buried wearing a Sox uniform not so long ago. For that man to speak out against the Sox and what we're finding out today, I don't see how the Sox get out of this without completely purging the front office and the entire ML Roster. They need a full blown reset . -
Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture

They must have gone full 180 in "allowing players to be themselves", which basically means no rules in the clubhouse. Part of the criticism for LaRussa was him "not allowing to let players be themselves", or that being the narrative the Media wanted to paint (Dan Bernstein and the rest of the Score Radio). But half the time, LaRussa was asleep. So was he running a tight ship which then the players complained and therefore they brought in a Tree Stump with no rules to manage instead? Grifol is literally a Tree Stump (I'm convinced) Maybe Grifol was the dude the lady was referring to as "That Motherfucker back there is not real." -

Grifol was a questionable hire 6 months ago, it's now reached embarrassment level. Anyone involved with the hire process should be shown the door, including Chris Getz. There is no way they can bring this guy back after this fiasco. None. -
That had nothing to do with the facts of event. Re-read my post. Ramirez was the instigator, Anderson defended himself, and Lost. That simple.
-
It's funny how when the guy was hitting .320 / .330 .... all these so called "antics" were non issues. Lots of hypocrites within this fanbase. LOL
-
OK, don't let the facts of last night's incident get in the way then.
-
Ramirez landed a lucky haymaker while Anderson was off blanced and opened up. This happens even to the great boxers ( see Pacquiao vs Marquez IV). Even Joe Rogan analyzed the video, which was hilarious that we (The Sox) finally made it big 😂 He says Tim Anderson knows what he's doing (as far as fighting goes). https://twitter.com/Pingtr1p/status/1688018425036054528?s=20

This is all BS. I understand the fanbase has gone complete 180 on Anderson, which is fine. Last night, the only thing Anderson did wrong was he not landing a clean one on Ramirez. Ramirez was the asshole in the incident and instigator. He slides in hard to every base (which is 100% fine and I applaud his way of playing the game), then he's going to complain about getting "tagged hard" ? What kind of b**** ass move is that? And if you look at the replay, Anderson didn't even tag him hard. Then it was Ramirez who instigated by shoving Anderson's leg out of the way as Anderson stood over him after the tag. 100% I'd have beef with that if I'm Tim Anderson.

There goes Ramirez disrespecting the game by flipping his bat and clapping hard after the double.
