Prepare to get personally attacked and have your integrity questioned.

Nothing wrong with that post but you have to analyze each situation. What that TLR has done as a manager that sticks out as a smart decision? Bunting with Billy on 1st isn't smart just because they both ended up safe.

If Hendriks held them in the 9th, who pitches for the Sox in the 10th with a ghost runner at second, nobody out?

    Hendriks again?

You can question every decision you want. The Sox just got beat in a close game that could have gone either way.

Vaughn hitting into the triple play was brutal. It is what it is. Try to beat Cole tomorrow.

This just absolutely cannot be a serious post. It just can't.

What are you even talking about? They don't want to learn the Game? It's a wonder you make it through the day, cause it seems you live for shitting on other people. You can spend time better

Yes, that is what I'm saying. And it is evident. Sorry, but I'm going to call a spade a spade. As Rey already said, it's like being the guy with 30 years experience who somehow knows very little about the job. But it's the unwillingness to even try to understand the facets of the game and just be dismissive of every criticism that is telling.

Oh please.  My point was you can pick out any decision a manager makes and place the blame on him but its so hard to do the opposite.  They never get the credit for the lineups for example, which most people here shit on every day (until they win).

Your point is fucking moot. You posed a challenge and when he asked you to do it yourself you balk. Clearly you can't so you were just jerking yourself off and you really don't have a point.

That’s why you can’t just say that LaRussa has lost 7 games despite game changing mistakes in 7 games in 2 months. Good decisions don’t always turn into wins and bad decisions don’t always turn wins into losses.

For the record I never said he lost all those games, just potentially. Surely you agree.

Now do all the managerial wins, please.  Starting with Wednesday (bunt).

Let me ignore all the analytics and use one example to support my view that happened to work out even though it was a dumb decision.

Because you theoretically are going down with your best bullpen pitcher who is being paid 55 million instead of arguably the worst arm in the pen basically punting the game?

Problem isn't even that these guys don't know much about baseball but that they don't even want to learn. To them, every decision can be second guessed so therefore no decision is questionable. Zero analytical thinking, it's a wonder you can even make it through life with a mindset like that.

Marshall entering in the 8th with runners on the corners was a bad process that worked out in a miraculous way. It took an incredible play by TA and some stupid baserunning on a line drive rocket. TLR then doubled down on the bad idea. How did that work out?

Like I said, sometimes bad decisions work in your favor, and this game was evident of that.

I also said that the more bad decisions you make the more bad results you will have. This game was also evident of that.

Some people just don't learn anything and are whimsical when they watch.

Tray and jerksticks remind me of these two fans that sat in front of our season tickets for years. They went to a ton of games and you'd guess they really understood the game and then eberytime they talked to each other, you were so confused because it felt like it was their first game ever.

Those same guys who at work say they have 30 years of experience but actually have less then 1 year experience 30 times over.

Their seeming assertion that a manager is never to blame for a bad decision because of second guessing is just really precious.

Eh. A couple inches and Vaughn is a hero, TLR is a hero for trusting his rookie and Boone is getting flamed for pitching Chapman in a non-save situation.

Teams lose 60 games a year because of inches decided by coinflip outcomes.

By your logic, every losing manager in every game is a total asshole asleep at the wheel.  That’s actually an interesting stance to take and would make for a fun discussion.  Sadly, that’s not your stance.

No. Like I said, good decisions are made by thought process, not results.

You guys are obsessed with cop outs and deflections and can never just admit a manager made bad decisions.

La Russa said Hendriks was ready for the 10th if it was tied.

Tony is the dude who plans out his entire life by freshman year of college, but doesn't make a backup plan for when he fails the classes to get into his chosen major.

Nah. We're just dumb. You're gonna lose games anyway so TLR deserves no blame for managing another game poorly.

    Case and point.

Yes. It's dumb to think people should be held accountable for making obviously bad decisions.

Luckily, I think all I need to do is add about 3 users to my ignore list and I won't have to see much more of this TLR apologist bullshit.

Team scores one damn run on a lucky parachute single ..... but, yeah, it's LaRussa's fault they lost.

We have some really dumb fucking fans following this team.

    2-1 losses happen folks.

And LaRussa can go fuck off, for other reasons.   Not this game.

LaRussa managed poorly so it perfectly reasonable to lay some blame to him.

Accountability only applies when you want it to and if you don't want to then other people are dumb. OK.

A human brain can’t really think the way you represent a human brain at times.

dude we could easily win 100 games this  year and you’re going to be mad at TLR and the FO for the 62 we lost.

    Why?

    This is called a deflection.

You are ignoring the point and using a cop out.

Tony fell asleep at the wheel again AND we played like shit.

That was absolutely not a great game, saying it was is absolutely fucking oblivious.

If you’re mad at this one then you must think a team has a chance of winning 130+ games a year.  There’s a reason that doesn’t happen.

So, now tell me, who’s lying to themselves really?

Someone who says there's nothing to be mad about in another poorly managed game.

    So you.

Your calling a guy a liar for stating the truth - it was a great game.

To say it's hard to be mad... when some more really bad managerial decisions were made?

A select few of you clearly don't absorb anything when you watch baseball.
