  1. I think it is until like mid april or may when they get the control back.
  2. I saw him at the start of 2018, pitch in Indy at AAA. He looked pretty bored on the mound. I think it would be a huge step back, keeping him in the minors more than the control of the 1yr they get back. He needs to be challenged.
  3. Have you seen him pitch live in the minors?
  4. He will be 25yrs old in September. We are kinda past the prospect stage and headed into the realm of 4A player.
  5. Yes, but they also have offered Bryant long term contracts. I think their payroll issue is probably Heyward.
  6. Well, Bryant would lower the Rockies payroll over time, and a more possible asset to trade at a deadline. NA, would give the Cubs a longer term asset.
  7. Probably the Bregman contract as a comparison.
  8. Was this guy some type of phenom before the Sox signed him?
  9. I think, they thought, it was the best bat on the board. But the problem was, he is unathletic playing 3B. At best, I think it was a switch to 1B or DH, but did you really need to draft that?
  10. It's not about that. He was suppose to be playing last year, and he never did. I don't think he is healthy, and by the time he is, his progression through the minors, he is gonna be like 26yrs old. He is probably Palka at best, if he gets healthy.
  11. I predict, I am gonna say it like I mean it..... I predict, Jake Burger is done with baseball.
  12. Gotta be the weakest position in the minors. I had hope, Bryce Bush would be something, and then he moved to the OF.

Jesus, haven't been since it was at the Hyatt.
  14. I don't think it was a bad deal. I just don't think Vaughn is a lock to do anything.
  15. I am not sure why you think Vaughn is an automatic lock to be a star? There is no downside to the Jose extension, the payroll is low enough that if Jose is not good in a year or 2, he can sit the bench.
  16. It is gonna be all hits and no walks. I won't complain about a 200 hit season, but he swings at EVERYTHING.
  17. I think the only problem with that is, giving him the money.
  18. Have you seen him field? I take the over IF he DHs. He is gonna have 2-3 DL stints.
  19. It is about development, if you are rebuilding. Not holding talent back to save a buck. They did it will Robert too, he was ready at the end of the season to come up. I would argue Madrigal was as well.
  20. It kinda does. Eloy was offered a contract at the end of 2018 season, and he balked, so the Sox kept him down. What would of happened to him this past season, if he would of had 100-200 ABs in 2018?
  21. You can not have a $100M payroll, and be competing year in and year out.
  22. The Sox are not competing this year, he can figure it out at the major league level.
