  1. This would be a fun promo. White sox replace a player tuesdays. First 27 fans get to bat for a big leaguer.
  2. I've been wrong on plenty of players in my life but never been more wrong than I was on Vaughn. What a chode.
  3. Amazing how bad fletcher has looked. It's like bad Eaton and madrigal had a baby.
  4. Yeah, this guy blows. That said, he's mixing up his slider based on count. Great feel for that pitch.
  5. If the baseball gods give me one thing this year, let it be crochet staying healthy all year. This guy is a machine.
  6. Above average is carrying a lot of weight in this post.
  7. Yeah, who is anyone here to doubt the judgements of Chris Getz and the Chicago White Sox when it comes to high character clubhouses and leadership! Clevinger proved last year that he's not netting anything - I know the circumstances aren't 100% the same, but the reality is he's an asshat and he stinks. Even if we say that the accusation isn't 100% true, what is true is he broke Covid protocol when his highly respected and well liked manager had a compromised immune system. I can't imagine he's a good influence on a single young baseball player; maybe you want to argue he's not as bad as it seems, but there's no one arguing he's a positive influence.
  8. This is one of the funniest Harold Getz apologists posts ever.... This "low ball" offer was the best offer clevinger got so how is it a lowball
  9. Bauer and Urias come with an initial circus teams don't want to manage. Sox manage it and then move to a contender. I could see it being much more likely than trying clevinger after last year.
  10. Agree with those that say if you're gonna do this go sign a Urias or a Bauer, be the team that takes the PR hit, and try and get something for them
  11. The difference between 65 and 62 wins doesn't seem worth it.
  12. I don't think I'd turned a car radio on in ages, but the stars aligned today! I agree this rotation blows but crochet does not blow.
  13. Heard the radio for 5 minutes this morning in the car and sox machine josh and crew were calling crochet an opener and an embarrassment. I love watching Crochet shove on the clowns. Even though we left him in a little long.
  14. Is there a streaming service that offers MLB Network AND White Sox baseball? MLB really are a bunch of idiots.
  15. Why do they need 180 innings from him? The point is to build him to that. They've got a free year to give it a go. They need to get him within about 60 innings of next years target.
  16. I don't really buy this. He's not giving less effort in the minors and the sox certainly aren't going to have any high stress games this year lol. I don't hate the idea of maybe moving him to longer relief after the break sometime to keep him in routine but limit the work load.
  17. Truth is injuries themselves are not predictive as much as anyone wants to say otherwise. Could he be more likely based on his past? Sure. Not doing what best maximizes the players abilities and values due to some non-predictive fear is pointless imo.
  18. 80 way too little. Conservative would be about 100-120 for me. If they want to make him a starter these are the things you have to do.
  19. If he throws only 80 innings he wouldn't even be able to top 150 next year.
  20. Yes let's not pitch him because.... people all overthrow on opening day? I expect nothing else from balta logic.
  21. I love this. Almost forgot he existed. One exciting thing to watch in the rotation.
  22. The White Sox are the only team in baseball that use spring to fight for every roster spot. Spring is completely meaningless
  23. He'll sit 91-93 in season would be my guess.
