  1. This team has officially quit. And that doesn't bode well for the future.
  2. This is gonna be fun listening to Hawk respond to this over the remainder of the season.
  3. This team is doing just enough to stay in the race and keep our ever so slim hopes up. As frustrating as last nights loss was a win today would be 2 out of 3 and as much as you could of hoped for. Get 2 of 3 in Oakland and this would be a very successful trip.
  4. Left today's game with the A's in the 3rd inning with an apparent left elbow injury.
  5. The Tigers are giving the White Sox the playoffs and they refuse to take it. How bad is it going to be to have to watch the Tigers in the post season while the Sox are golfing.
  6. Is this the implosion? Come on Javy get through this!
  7. Javy has a huge chance here to step up and give this team a major shot in the arm. Giving the Sox a solid 7 innings today would be huge.
  8. This season just really needs to end. Of all times to be getting your butts kicked. This team has no interest in winning anything this year. The 6 game trip to the west coast will be the official end as I expect to lose 5 of 6. They have been given every chance by the Tigers to get right back in this and they are crapping it all away. They look like they are satisfied with one year of greatness and now just want it over so they can go home to their Scottsdale mansions and play golf. Thank goodness we have football.
  9. This is amazing. The Tigers are 8-17 in their last 25 games. The Sox should have a 3 game lead right now.
  10. JD has without question the quickest bat in the MLB.
  11. Ozzie has been saying the last few weeks that 95 will get you in but I'm saying 96 to be safe. That means the White Sox have to go 20-12 in their last 32, the Twins need to go 20-13 in their last 33. The Tigers who I still believe will win the division need to go only 14-15 in their last 29 to reach 96. The RedSox and Angels pretty much have no shot at the wildcard and would have to win their division. Looking at the remaining schedule you have to say that the Twins have the advantage as the White Sox have 3 at Boston then that killer 6 game trip to Oak and Anaheim, then have to finish with 3 at Minn. Losing 2 of 3 this past weekend was a real killer. At this point the Sox just need to approach every game as a must win and just get to that 96 wins and see where they stand. They can't worry about the Tigers or Twins but only about the team they are playing.
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) Well, for me personally (and you know I'm more optimist than pessimist), last night took a lot out of my collective 'sails'. Jermaine's homer was probably highest emotional moment of the year, and to see them end up losing the game was really a huge downer. Great win today, Buehrle with a big outing. Nice to see Pods finally look like a baseball player. But the Twins took the two one run games, and more importantly, they leave Chicago with the WildCard lead. Looking at the big picture, it's dissappointing to lose two of three to Minny. But I'll digress, and say that the Sox can't lose more than two games this week. Kazmir out for TB, Sweeney out for KC, there are no excuses for not winning both of these series'. Sox really need to take 5 of these 6. The Tigers have 3 with the Yanks and 3 with the Angels. The Twins 3 with KC and 3 with the Yanks. Need to pick up 2 on the Tigers and 1 on the Twins.
  13. Tigers will win 3 of these 4 and the race for the Central Title will be over. Any questions?
