How many Sox outfielders have you ever seen do that? Sox outfielders can’t even decide who is supposed to take charge and catch a ball before colliding.

Pretty much his game plan. He rarely throws a mid 90’s fastball in between cutters. His WHIP was due for a reckoning as his strikeouts go down.

Reinsdorf probably demanded that the Sox not eat one cent of Colome’s contract for the remainder of the season to make a trade work out for both teams.

A 24 year old corner outfielder with some pop? Yes please. The lineup would pretty much be set for next year. Then spend all of your money on starting pitching and bullpen help.

Yep, whether they trade Colome or not. You could argue that a good return for one year of Colome is worth figuring out closer later for next year. Whether Colome is traded or not, no one can argue that the Sox shouldn’t spend big on starting pitching this offseason. It’s their biggest hole without a doubt.
