  1. Stone and Benetti seem to agree after seeing Nova’s pitches.
  2. He acquired this bum for $9 million and a prospect. He can own it.
  3. He should have swung at that first pitch absolute meatball.
  4. Here is the story from years ago (2004) if anyone is interested... https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-2004-10-02-0410020225-story.html
  5. Man, Steve Stone doesn’t let go of a grudge. He mentioned his good times at Wrigley and his bad times, referencing when he was calling out the team for their performance and Moises “Piss Hands” Alou led the charge against him.
  6. Cubs going with their Sunday lineup. Caratini, CarGo, and Descalso. https://mobile.twitter.com/Cubs/status/1141061466977689600
  7. All options suck. It was a bad offseason of stop-gap choices. But no one is to blame.
  8. Cuz they haven’t been in the game long enough yet. Only vets have TWTW.
  9. As in, he was bashing it? Did he mention that the only thing that matters is TWTW (“The Will To Win”)?
  10. I was pretty sure chitownsportsfan came up with that quote on his own.
  11. Hilarious stuff. JP talking about jock-chasers. Accurate but it can’t be said publicly.
  12. Look up a player’s stats before you post garbage next time.
  13. Agreed, but try to bring him back for the least amount of years as possible. Let’s not pay for his declining years.
  14. Correcting someone when they are wrong is not trolling.
  15. You were misrepresenting Abreu’s production while we are talking about for how long and for what kind of money the Sox should attempt to re-sign Abreu for, if they choose to. It seems very much relative to the conversation so while I was not trying to be annoying, it was intentional.
  16. Exactly. Don’t venture into the south side of Chicago and you avoid most of the murder. Most people know where to go and where not to go. The surrounding suburbs are a different story altogether.
  17. You made it sound like he’s good for 35+ homers a year. That isn’t really the case. He’s done it once in his career and that was his rookie season.
  18. https://twitter.com/RickTarsitano/status/1140648355745452032?s=20
  19. For a team that is devoid of catching prospects and limited options available on the FA market (Grandal), I don’t think you trade Collins for a starter unless you have no faith in him. McCann and Collins may be the start of filling the position ever since AJP left.
  20. It looks like he will do it this year but Abreu has hit 35+ homers (36 to be exact) once in his career, in his rookie season.
