All I know is Burger needs PA's with all the time he missed. It won't do him any good starting 1-2 times a week once Eloy is back and a possible 2B trade. He's the first to be sent down for me. Sheets will be sent down for Lamb when he's ready since they fill the same role.

If you would have told me in March this was the lineup the first game after the ASB I would have told you the Sox would be about 8 games up in the Central

Were they cheating when they got swept by the Orioles at home?
I just think they're extremely streaky.
Getting swept by the O's is the perfect cover to show people they aren't cheating. I ain't buying it!

Naive question here -
Can't the Sox just scramble up their signs? Do odd things like have the pitcher shake off a sign and have it really mean that's the pitch he will throw instead of the following sign, or swap fast ball and breaking ball signs for left handed hitters, or even have different signs depending on whether the hitter's friggin jersey number is odd or even...etc etc.?
Or would that potentially confuse the pitcher and endanger the catcher?
The Nats had 5 sets a signs per pitcher that they frequently switched between in the World Series.
QuoteThere were some layers to the Nats' plan for Houston. First, each pitcher had to have his own set of signs, and catchers Yan Gomes and Kurt Suzuki had to be familiar with each one. So the staff printed out cards with the codes and had them laminated. The catchers could have them in their wristbands, a la an NFL quarterback with play calls strapped to his forearm, and the pitchers would have them in their caps. Each pitcher had five sets of signs, and they could change them from game to game — or even batter to batter, if necessary. Using the set labeled No. 2, but worried the Astros were catching on? The pitcher could signal to the catcher to move to set No. 3.

This isnt gonna go well. Unless they make a move, I dont disagree with you, but people here coddle Yoan and the analytics that say he's like the greatest 3rd baseman of all time or some garbage. I prefer them to make a move for a 2B, and leave Yoan alone, but your idea isnt that bad.
Oh sorry, Moncada sucks. I forgot.

Or we keep our GG caliber 3B with a 123 OPS+ where he's most comfortable

Didn't want to make a new thread for this, but here's the rotation for the weekend. Would assume Kopech/Keuchel for the DH and Lynn Tuesday?

No I don't want to trade him. I just wish he would start hitting some home runs. And no I don't think there are alot of teams who would want him under the present circumstances. (No power and big contract)

Just curious why you guys love Montgomery so much? Law has him at 56...
Law hates the Sox and knew we were gonna draft him, obviously.

I think Keuchel can be valuable as a David Price style arm in the pen IMO and then his option probably wont hit
