  1. That's exactly right. Throw in the fact that he had a PRP injection for a partially torn UCL last September and you have another reason.
  2. Agreed. The only possible issue though is, with no spring training, Cueto might not be able to join the team until late April. I'm guessing Hahn waits to see who's released this week before attempting to sign a pitcher who's not immediately ready.
  3. Paddack is a two-pitch pitcher (fastball, changeup.) No viable third pitch is why he's struggling. He needs to be converted to a reliever if he wants to stay in baseball. He's the Padres' version of Reynaldo. No way in hell are we taking on a bad contract for a reliever.
  4. I have no idea. But they basically gave WR1 money to a WR2/3 slot receiver. He's never had a 1,000 yard season - not even in the 17 game season last year. When the Cardinals needed him to step up his performance with Hopkins out for multiple weeks last season, he did not - proving he's nothing close to a WR1. Don't know how much money is guaranteed but this could be one of the worst NFL contracts ever. Not to mention it'll drive the price up for actual WR1's. I can see Davante's and Deebo's agents asking for 30 mil a year now.
  5. IMO, the number one priority for the Bears is the development of Fields at QB. Jim Harbaugh, despite having some of the top QB recruits in the nation since 2015, has failed to develop a good QB at Michigan. My choices for HC would be any one of Greg Roman, Kellen Moore and Byron Leftwich. Roman not only transformed the Ravens offense (in mid season no less) to Lamar Jackson's skill set, but also did the same with the 49ers and Kaepernick years earlier. Moore is a coach's son who was calling his own plays at age 16 in H.S. He's helped develop Prescott and make Dallas a top notch offense. Reminds me of Sean McVay. Leftwich has been Arians' right hand man for a while. If his offensive/QB philosophy is the same - I'm assuming it is - then he'll be a solid HC. Also, I would see what it would take to nab Jarod Mayo from the Pats staff to be the DC. Give him an Assistant HC/DC title and offer him more money and maybe he comes? The combo of these two would cost less than just Harbaugh alone and would put us on a better path IMO.
  6. He was busted in 2013 and served a 50 game suspension. Somehow, someway, not since.
