I agree with all of what you said, especially evaluating Mazara at the end of the season. But, with wishful thinking, his age, potential, & new home/great clubhouse (plus not being in the heart of the order) Mazara could & will rise above expectations. The bar on him has been set low because of his past performances & fan opinion. Let's see how it goes, Mazara could be a plus to this team.

Let's face it, it was a great pickup for the Twins but the White Sox added some very good pieces as well. I think the plan is working. This was a decent offseason & next offseason should be more of the same.

I made that Yolmer prediction on another post here. I think it would be very cool to happen, but on a low risk deal. I was at Sox Fest in 2013 & it was a blast. Have fun to those that are attending.

Great to hear but years behind. I never understood why a team wouldn't pay more money to good coaches, analytics people to build a better infrastructure for the organization.

I read the same articles this morning & felt the same way. Thank you for the breakdown of that magical playoff season. One of the best memories of that season was being at game five in Anahime. Yes, the game was fantastic, but after the team came out on the field to celebrate with the few White Sox fans in attendance. The guys were drinking & smoking cigars while we cheered them. Then, Paulie put up four fingers & said " four more" & we all went nuts! Unbelievable day to be a White Sox fan!

How about "Running Up That Hill", Kate Bush/Placebo song? The line "and get him to swap our places" would be played when we play the Yankees.

Nice work. I think that with the great offseason, we may things hang in the balance of the unknown. Injuries, regression from the core, off years from vets. It can also swing positively, which we all hope for. The depth needs to be built stronger. Take a flier on a couple starting pitchers like Walker or Felix if the money is right. Complement Mazara with another piece & see where we are at the drade deadline while not giving away too many good prospects. Happy New Year Sox Fans!!!!
