The City of Chicago is fighting to throw 10 figures at the Bears, and this is what you've got?

    Cease indeed.

I mean, ok? 10 figures is a pittance considering the AH Stadium is $3 billion plus.

The City is offering what it thinks the economic benefit the Bears provide is. The Bears want a $1 billion renovation.

Now you can go back to watching Tucker/Fox having learned something. Happy to help Indiana man

Downtown has been a ghost town the past three years, doubtful office workers / businesses will ever return without multiple significant changes.

Don’t see the team staying unless they get another free stadium. Chicago, Crook County and Illinois are all bankrupt when you factor unfunded pensions, are lucky to issue above junk status bonds now to pay for current day to day expenses.

This is basically word for word Fox News propaganda.

And the idea the City is bankrupt is hilarious. The City is in the best financial health its been in since the 1990s

If the Bears leave Chicago, the Sox are going to be able to do whatever they want to hold the City of Chicago hostage for any of their whims to do with a stadium.  Losing two teams in like 5 years just can't happen.

lol nope. This isnt Indiana. IL and Chicago aren't giving billionaires welfare

Caps just promote wage suppression of players. It's not the Mets fault that no other owners are willing to spend like they are.

The NBA and NFL have caps, somehow they work there.

Destroying interest in your own sport by making competitiveness based on how cheap a billionaire is might not hurt in the short-term, but it's a bad long term play but the MLBPA.

This new CBA just doubled down on a broken league. Having to hope JR sells, what a great sport this is.

  5. Yankees are 23-30 in their last 53, Astros are obviously not unbeatable, and the Central/WC are there for the taking.

Making the playoffs is no guarantee, but anyone who thinks the ALCS is a Yankees/Astros guarantee is not looking great. The whole AL is up for  grabs to whoever can get hot

Your family must love how easily satisfied you are. One game over .500 and you are taking victory laps like we've actually achieved something worth celebrating.

    Hooray 3rd place!

And damn the family comment is fucking low, especially when I lost my brother recently.

If you're a mod, maybe avoid personal insults

Oh, I’ll say it…winning the AL Central means nothing this year. You have to win the division, and then a best-of-3 at home. Until they do that, it’s a bad season. And even if they win those two extra games, you have to get by the Astros again, which is unlikely. 2022 is not the Sox year.

    lol, this is good stuff.

And when they win the division? Will you be be happy about that even?

Garcia is worth twice the amount of WAR Graveman has produced for about 1/3 of the salary. He's actually produced more than Kelly and Graveman combined this year.

megaposter mad lol. Sorry the Twins lost. Must make it a rough day to mope. Glad you found something to cry about though!

This might be the first time we've been this close to the Twins since May.

Also the Padres got Luis Garcia for 2 years and $7 million. He's throwing 101 MPH sinkers. That's a way better investment than Kelly or Graveman.

2 games back, and a weird complaint from a megaposter about a RP who hasnt been as good as Graveman. That makes the win even better lol.

When it comes to the White Sox, the people that have the best sources are Bob Nightengale and Bruce Levine. They're shitty everywhere else, but they're accurate about the Sox.

    Neither is reliable.

And if KW and Hahn remain, then "major changes" aren't happening. Trades sure but it will be to compete in 23, not start a 5-7 year rebuild
