  1. Yep. They let him throw his fastball right by them. Just sat there and took high fastballs for strikes, top of the corners, in the zone. Then on 1-2 and 0-2 counts... they sat back and smashed changeup after changeup. Five or six in a row for hits. I'm sorry, that's suspicious AF.
  2. Then you'd fail miserably 99% of the time. Because of his release and mechanics/delivery, it's next to impossible to tell what is coming... so a team to sit back on his changeups... is bizarre. Seriously bizarre. There's a reason Steve Stone even commented on it saying "It's odd for ANY MLB team to sit back on changeups." The whole reason Gio is an ace/#1 is because of those mechanics and delivery, and it being impossible to pick up his pitches. Unless Gio was tipping his pitches somehow, or doing something that BoSox batters could pick up on to tell when a changeup was coming, it's fucking bizarre.
  3. Yes, they sat on the change... which is seriously bizarre to do to Gio... Suspicious AF, IMO.
  4. It was a good idea, and a good play, to try and bunt for a hit. Just a hell of a play by a pitcher. That's about as perfect a bunt as you'll see.
  5. Cheaters who were caught in the past don't get the benefit of the doubt from me.
  6. I mean, it wouldn't shock me. There will always be questions about this kinda shit when it comes to Cora and Hinch.
  7. Most pitchers will take 5-6+ starts to get their velo back up to where it's supposed to be for the season.
  8. Dodged a bullet with some broken fingers there for Eaton... damn.
  9. Stand up triple for Nick. Nice way to start. Games not over yet.
  10. Burdi seems to have settled down a bit, so that's good.
  11. Red Sox hitters just seem to be hitting every single thing they see. Just one of those days.
  12. Again... they're not hitting the FB. They're hitting the changeup.
  13. He put him back out there to take even more of a beating.
  14. They're not hitting his FB. They're hitting his changeup.
  15. Lol. If Lamb doesn't stare at that for 5 seconds he would have beat it.
  16. Good pitch. Didn't get the call because he's been all over the damn place.
  17. Man, I was so looking forward to a morning baseball game to distract from work. Now I'm hoping for some work to come in to distract me from morning baseball. Lol.
  18. Yeah, Stone mentioned it. They're 100% keying on the changeup, and just letting him throw his fastball by them.
  19. So uhhhhh... Lamb didn't have a play at the plate there? it's a force at every base... What a boneheaded play.
  20. Fair enough. I just fully expect a changeup from Gio when he has an 0-2 count. It's what he gets guys to whiff on a lot.
  21. The changeup call there was fine. It's normally a wipeout pitch for Gio. He just chucked a meatball up there, belt high, out over the plate.
