  4. I follow four of every five Sox games. I might turn the radio on if Clevinger is out of the game. Always want the bullpen to get the win, or him the loss, during these starts.
  5. The ML Minimum guys are interchangeable. Sox should be able to get a few playable pre arb players in return for dumping Anderson, Hendriks, Jimenez and Moncada. Maybe the Dodgers take Anderson plus Benintendi to replace Peralta. Yankees the only other team with a LF need and ability to eat that shitty Hahn contract.
  6. They can get payroll down under $50M if they are aggressive the next six months. That would be my plan if I was Jerry, because they don’t plan on taking the steps to be competitive over Jerry’s remaining days/years. Sell a 2026-2027 l“multi championship competitive window” carrots to the few fans interested, and lots of fireworks, bobbleheads, hockey jerseys and other giveaways. Position Players $25.3M $12.5M L. Robert (CF) $2.5M A. Vaughn (1B) $1.8M H. Alberto (INF) $1.3M B. Hamilton (OF) $0.8M J. Burger (3B), Y. Cespedes (LF), O. Colas (RF), R. Gonzalez (2B), C. Perez (C), G. Sheets (DH), L. Sosa (SS), J. Rodriguez (2B-SS), S. Zavala (C). May 2025: C. Montgomery (SS) & B. Ramos (3B). Pitchers $22.4M $8.0M D. Cease (SP) $3.5M M. Kopech (SP) $1.5M G. Crochet (SP), J. Lambert (RP), K. Middleton (RP). $0.8M T. Banks (RP), S. Burke (SP), N. Padilla (RP), S. Peralta (RP), L. Ramsey (RP), G. Santos (RP), J. Stiever (SP), N. Vera (SP).
  7. Having him behind Grandal sort of make sense because of a walk and a blast. I think they came into the season trying to protect him vs. RHP, but think they can loosen that up at this stage, perhaps protect against the top 20-30 across The MLB, which tonight isn’t one of those games. I like this line up better, with Tim stop as the lone sacrosanct slotting (platoon Career OPS vs. RHP displayed). SS T. Anderson (.716) R LF A. Benintendi (.800) L CF L. Robert Jr. (.768) R 3B Y. Moncada (.779) S DH J. Burger (.770) R (.895 2023) C Y. Grandal (.781) S 1B A. Vaughn (.702) R RF G. Sheets (.784) L 2B H. Alonso (.593) R
  8. Yes, I'm sure there are a few other examples of another hitter topping the ones listed. My list was simply the best hitter over the contiguous period of their White Sox stint. Konerko was part time in 2013, ditto Frank in 2005, thus those two cut-offs explained.
  9. I consider slugging percentage the best indication of power (HRs are important but 2Bs and 3Bs are as well). Overall: 18th in The MLB Right Field an issue as well. The White Sox are leaders at two positions, mid level at three, and bottom five at four positions. 17th Catcher 18th First Base 29th Second Base 29th Shortstop 1st Third Base 26th Right Field 2nd Center Field 27th Left Field 17th Designated Hitter
  10. May 17, 2021, a day that will live in White Sox infamy. Opening Day 2020 through May 17, 2021 61-42 .592 (2020 36-27 + 2021 25-15) May 18, 2021 through May 16, 2023 165-166 .498 (2021 69-57 + 2022 81-81 + 2023 15-28) Prioritizes "unwritten rules" over Actual MLB rules.
  11. Will Honour #15 Dick Allen today for my 15th Day won on Soxtalk! This is also my first Back to Back Win!!

Good to win back to back with positive content about Sox players and wins.

  12. Great game to listen to straight through. This was Lance Lynn's second win this season. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CIN/CIN202305050.shtml
  13. This has been the most pleasurable game to follow this season. Loving every minute of it!
  14. Gavin comes through, Lynn dealing. Looks like a Sox winner.
  15. Boyer is Reinsdorf John McDonough, and I’d fire him ahead of even Rick Hahn as my first action as new owner. Anderson is angling for a Sox job. Cronyism is the one attribute required to succeed in a Reinsdorf organIzation.
