  1. You have a point with Eloy, but Robert and Anderson are less dependable yet seem to always avoid scrutiny. Games Played since Robert's call up: 309 Yoan Moncada (27) 266 Tim Anderson (29) 254 Luis Robert Junior (25) 194 Eloy Jimenez (26)
  2. I cheer for the Sox every four out of five games. I’m not listening tonight nor have I any other of his starts. I can’t stand the fact this piece of s%*# is still on the team.
  3. If you think that’s a lowlight, this might be rock bottom. Note: A’s announcer said N-word on video of live broadcast describing his wonderful visit to the Negro League Museum. Viewer discretion is advised.
  4. David Wells enters the thread. The only White Sox player I ever booed, when I thought he was drunk puking from our far upper deck seats and pulled in the first inning. Sox ended up coming back and beating the Cubs.
  5. They should start Eloy in RF and Dylan Cease at DH tonight
  6. 100%. The problem is they can only win FAs other teams don't want because the players are overpriced and on their last deal. Liam was the exception, primarily for a personal relationship with Tony. The White Sox have drafted and fielded exactly ZERO 2+ bWAR corner outfielders in the Jerry "we have 29 dumb competitors" Reinsdorf 42 year era. Let's be generous and include every internally developed White Sox player and any season regardless of position and see what the Sox have done. 25 Draft acquisitions with one or more 2+ bWAR White Sox Seasons in the Jerry Reinsdorf Era (1981-2022): Primary White Sox 2+ bWAR Position: (1) Catcher (Ron Karkovice). 7. The Road Team had the advantage for the first two seasons based on the link I found. https://www.thegoodphight.com/2021/9/9/22652255/road-teams-are-surprisingly-benefitting-from-mlbs-extra-innings-rule
  8. Well, at least he didn't Colome in January for $18M / 3 years. Baby steps.
  9. Good chance Grifol and the others won't pan out well, but it's only been 5 weeks and they have been given literal s%*# to work with across several spots on the 26. Pitching: Let Zavala work with Giolito and Kopech and Grandal catch the other three. Every-time. Let Cease call his game, not sure what the hell happened yesterday. Liam (9), Santos (8), Middleton/Lambert/Graveman (6-7). Lopez (long), Bummer (LH), Colome or Banks (Blowout). June Hitting: (Career Platoon OPS) RHS: SS TA (.721); LF AB (.802); CF LR (.734); RF EJ (.839); 3B YM (.930); 1B AV (.706); DH JB (.731); Catcher; 2B EA (.683) LHS: SS TA (.870); LF AB (.707); CF LR (1.013); RF EJ (.769); 1B AV (.831); 3B YM (.667); DH JB (1.007); Catcher; 2B EA (.723) Bench: C SV; 2B Z. Remillard; RF/LF A. Haseley; CF/OF B. Hamilton. AAA: Sheets & Peralta. DFA: Alberto, Colome if bad a few more low leverage appearances. Backups: 1B JB; 2B ZR SS EA (ZR plays 2B); 3B JB; RF AH/BH; CF BH/AH; LF AH/BH. Colas recovers and returns = Haseley Down. #1 Priority Acquire legitimate 2B who can field well and hit at least adequate, Elvis to reserve role, Remillard down.
  10. Guys who shouldn't be starters: Elvis Andrus Gavin Sheets Guys who shouldn't be up at this point: Oscar Colas Lenyn Sosa Guys who shouldn't be in the organization: Hanser Alberto Darryl Boston Mike Clevinger Alex Colome Romy Gonzalez Rick Hahn Sammy Peralta
  11. Peralta should have either started the inning or Colome finished it. At this point they just want the game over, just like TB pitched to Vaughn just to get out of Dodge.
  12. Pedro needs to make a visit to Hahn's office before heading to Cincinnati.
  13. He's the last available reliever, next will be perhaps Kopech if he didn't already throw on the side.
  14. No sure why they didn't try Peralta this inning, see what he has.
  15. Sox stranded nine the last four innings alone. Seriously, WTF.
