  1. We're talking about the old expression, guy that can get you from point A-B, but not to C.
  2. my question is, if the Sox finish thre season like this, should I be open not only to firing everybody, but trading anybody but Cease and Robert? At that point, this team needs a redo
  3. Dude is a little too feisty for a guy that just became a MLB pitcher again two weeks ago
  4. I can’t watch one more inning of the Sox offense. Going out. Good luck guys.
  5. Well. Of course. Dont blame the relievers tho. The Anemic Sox offense is the problem
  6. Personally, Whichever player is able to get regular ABs can become in a better groove at the plate. Up against a southpaw, I don't mind going with Engel and defense.
  7. So is this Gas Can Kuechel's do or die, or wil he get another chance after implosion?
  8. TLR's lineups ranked on a relative scale of 1-10, I predict an 8 today. Relative to common sense, I predict a 4. Edit: Ok, this is actually about an 8.5 on the TLR scale. Perhaps even a 7 for common sense. Now, we wait for the dreaded bullpen move rating 1 SS Tim Anderson 2 3B Yoan Moncada 3 CF Luis Robert 4 1B Jose Abreu 5 DH Andrew Vaughn 6 C Yasmani Grandal 7 LF AJ Pollock 8 RF Adam Engel 9 2B Josh Harrison
  9. First of all, the FO fucked up the off-season. But with this sort of start, I think we all know that if it was any other manager other than the one hired directly by the owner, the only conversation in town would be …when is the manager getting fired? Hopefully the FO will begin looking for a fall guy for their own failure. Not that TLR doesn’t suck in his own right.
  10. This season wil be remembered for the offseason. What a waste
  11. Adam Engel must be depressed. Plays worse players ahead of him just because they are lefty
  12. The Sox are smart. Winning the series before Kuechel takes the mound. This should always be done before Gas Can starts.
  13. the Mercedes movie will be great. And the Burger movie, equally great.
  14. Support for Mercedes threads up in here my man.
  15. There aren’t baseball reasons Kuechel is still out there. Only financial reasons. We know in our hearts that if Kuechel was making 1.8 million instead of 18 million, he’d have been gone long ago.
  16. Im not advocating to fuck with how the rest of the team is constructed other than maybe Lopez. As far as that’s concerned they should flip roles at a minimum, or just give Kuechel mop up duty innings or long relief after the real starter is getting shelled. Im advocating getting the baseball out of this guys hands. I don’t care who we out out there as long as it isn’t him. Keep trying people out. Point is, try.
  17. Sorry, got a little hot there for a second. Its just frustrating to be giving up, like giving up is an option. There are moves that can at least be tried. Kuechel has to be shut down while there is an open ended audition of candidates. If this was supposed to be some mid pack team, then whatever. Even then. But whatever. If the Sox gave us these excuses in the situation they are in, why should anyone accept it let alone defend it.
  18. Reynaldo Lopez for one is an easy one. if it’s as you say in the minors, you fucking find a guy who’s been driving a truck or washing cars to throw batting practice every fifth day. How about trading for a stiff on another team that can break an 8.40. They do exist, trust me. Basically you don’t sit around as a major league organization that portends to be a world series contender and roll this garbage out anymore because you say you don’t have anything at AAA. This is ridiculous.
  19. People are arguing that nobody can be better than a pitcher with an 8.40 ERA.
  20. Hopefully someone with less than an ERA of 8.40 steps in ffs. Can’t tell if serious. At this point the Sox get more for the money by paying Gas Can Kuechel to not pitch.
  21. Sure, but unless we get some unexpected help from unlikely sources, our win totals matching last season are questionable without the big first half magic of last season. Guys like Mercedes floated the team for awhile, Rodon and Legend, even Goodwin with big hits. Nobody is stepping up yet. I’m hoping Robert and AJ can make up for some of the Mercedes magic. They gotta start picking this up. Can we expect the Sox to have a big final stretch as opposed to the dud last season too. So I’m a little concerned if they don’t have the big first half considering last year’s home stretch.
