  1. 10 Day IL. Is it possible this isn't as serious an injury as we thought and he'll be back later this month?
  2. How much pain would a grade one groin strain cause immediately? The way I saw it was that he was in immediate pain and as he was being helped off, it looked like he was able to walk, albeit gingerly, with help.
  3. I guess some of the yoga practitioners he follows are into new age quack science. Very much against vaccines.
  4. Peeping Cease's instagram now, he seems to be into some bizarre new age shit. He's apparently really into yoga and I have a feeling that he's seeking advice from ill informed circles. I was pretty surprised though.
  5. Sox would have won five of their last six had it not been for him.
  6. I hope at the deadline, the Sox do what the Braves did last year and make very targeted and specific moves to fill weaknesses. The big one for me is 2nd base. Also another starting pitcher. If they can get a left handed thumper too that would be great. They don't have to be earth shattering either. To be honest, I think someone like Grienke would be a real plus for this team, especially in the playoffs.
  7. I just turned on the game. First thought was: who the hell is that guy on that mound?
  8. Most recent. He basically outed Donaldson as someone who has had issues with teammates of color in the past. It wasn't on the record but Garfien said he told them that he heard that the reason he was traded was because how badly he got along with his latino teammates in Minnesota.
  9. Dunno if people heard Keuchel's inside drop about why Donaldson was traded from the Twins. It was on the White Sox Talk Podcast. It's revealing
  10. This is probably also worth noting. Don't know if Grandal's family history but it may have touched a nerve with him as well. Shout out to Grandal for being an amazing leader though.
  11. I agree with you that Chapelle is a genius. And that's why it's really sad to me that he continues to punch down and make transgender people the object of his ridicule. The only way Chapelle's jokes would work, at least in my opinion as a cis gendered person, is if he turned them around himself and made his potential transphobia the object of the joke.
  12. I was at the game today. A lot of people were wondering what had transpired. To be quite honest, I think a lot of the opposing white fan's hostility towards TA boils down to deep seeded racism and they see what he is trying to bring to the game as encroaching on a white man's game. Three years ago, a cop stopped me while I was in the subway because I was wearing a White Sox hat and asked me what the deal was with Tim Anderson. He apparently used to work for MLB and started going on a rant about how he shouldn't be bat flipping and was messing up the game. Halfway through it became pretty obvious what his problem with TA was. A lot of the Yankees fans were booing TA when he came to bat. I get he has destroyed the Yankees in the past but I also think that impulse comes out when some people boo him. As far as the Robinson quote goes, in context it makes complete sense. Also, keep in mind he was one of the first notable Major League players to start speaking out in support of Black Lives Matter and on social justice issues. In many ways, he has been a trailblazer in today's game.
  13. Who has pitched well these last two starts? Also, today and tomorrow will be in the 90s. Hoping the offense can come alive
  14. Um. As someone who is in New York, calling off that game was inexcusable. It rained hard and has now stopped.
  15. 100% agreed. Would be curious to know what the run differential was for the 2012 Tigers at this time. That being said, that team went to the World Series and really only played solid baseball in it's final month.
  16. The optimist in me is saying this is a repeat of 2012 but this time the White Sox are the Tigers. The Record is comparable. And the Twins could be the 2012 White Sox. Like I think they have a really good chance of running out of gas by the end of the season. I think the moves were solid. This team should be playing a lot better than it is. I do think they should have gone after a 2nd Baseman. I'm ok with Pollock and think he'll turn it around. At what point do you blame front office and what point do you blame players for straight up underperforming?
