  1. Good, then we won't be having this conversation.
  2. Who is more responsible for garnering media attention? Frank or Konerko? If I remember correctly, Frank b****ed about his contract to the media last year, refused to speak to the media, then b****ed about being benched. Konerko is indeed having a terrible year, but he is still a class act as a MAN unlike the Skirt who refuses to speak to the media and pouts like a baby.
  3. Frank brings things on HIMSELF and he has no one to blame but HIMSELF for the way the public views him, not Paul Konerko, Jerry Manuel or anyone else for that matter. Why are we even having this discussion and yes, you are exactly right, PK is a TEAM player unlike Frank Thomas who is more concerned with his personal accomplishments and money than producing a White Sox winner. I am tired of hearing about Frank's career achievements, that was the 1990's, this is a new era and I'll be glad when he is gone so I can stop hearing about him and his "MVP" seasons. Give me a damn break.
  4. The only disappointing thing about Buehrle is the piss poor run support we're giving him.
  5. f*** Frank :fyou I don't care if PK isn't hitting, I'd still rather have him around than the Big Skirt.
  6. Who is everyone's favorite player on the current Sox roster? Just curious to know. It's not hard to tell who mine is. Mark B
  7. I'll take the Big Skirt...errr I mean Frank.
  8. I think Wright be skipped with Buehrle going on Wednesday, just a hunch though.
  9. Okay, this guy is a STUD when he's on, is that better?
  10. We're facing Foppert on Wednesday, who is their top pitching prospect. I've got him on my fantasy team and I've watched him pitch 3 or 4 times on MLB extra innings and this guy is legit when he's on. It'll be interesting to see the Sox face him and Mark B.
  11. I wouldn't do it, but it depends what your needs are. Koch is far from a sure thing and Burrell has been terrible so far this year. I'm sticking with Chipper if it's me. A general rule to remember in fantasy is always take the trade where you are getting the best player involved. In this case, although you're getting two above average players, you're giving up the best player in the deal and that's probably a bad move. I'd try a 1 for 1 for a better player if I was going to deal Chip. That's my 2 cents.
  12. you mean there's a game at Wrigley tonight? I did not know. Here's to the Cubbies.... :fyou :fyou :fyou

They didn't give up on him, they just sent him back down to AAA until he was ready, which is what needs to be done here before all of his confidence is gone.

  15. I wouldn't call him top 40 right now, especially after the great seasons he had in the past and still never got the call from the Sox. There's definitely something about this guy that they don't like.
  16. I think the team would be fired up if KW was fired, just a suggestion.
  17. Sure didn't. Wasn't born yesterday my friend.
  18. Let's see your list then of 20 closers and 10-20 set up men.
  19. I think a swift kick in the ass from Wally Backman would do them just fine.
  20. KW is an idiot so they probably aren't taking it seriously anyhow.
  21. Don't forget, there's plenty more. Franklyn German, Cliff Politte, Jose Jimenez and Danys Baez
  22. Who are some of the 20? MacDougal, Jose Mesa, Lance Carter, Jorge Julio? Yea right.
  23. You can name 20 current closers you'd rather have in an important game, I find that hard to believe.
  24. And Billy Koch is someone you want closing important games? I know Foulke blew some big games for us, but name five closers you'd rather have than him and I'll buy you a fish sandwich
