  1. Good series guys. Wish yall the best in the offseason.... Have a few thoughts while waiting for my flight back to Houston. 1. Luis Robert is going to be a star. Athletic, good hands, speed... he is the mold you want. Hope he continues to develop. He will be a star if he stays healthy. 2. Starting rotation, Ive read yalls view on your pitching for the past week. The rotation is very talented, its just the astros lineup are grinders and work at bats. Not just to your pitchers but to everyone over the past 7 years. But especially the last 5. Lynn, Rodon, Giolito, Cease are all very talented. I would be careful on overspending on rodon. I wouldn't go more than 3/4 years on him. Just my opinion. Time to stretch out Kopech and find a 3/4 pitch. Move him to rotation top off his innings at 150/160 next year. 3. Hendricks is a bad bad man. Altuve guessed fastball but besides that my stros had no chance against him. Very surprised LaRussa didn't use him more. Thank god. He should have pitched game 2 when things got hairy. 4. Moncada and Jimenez are overhyped. Ive seen them last year and this year. Got a really close look at them this series. They are just guys. Jimenez especially, not very good on d and lazy from my eyes. Long swing and just quit it looked like. I would try to move those 2 and find valuable replacements. Moncada basically gave up every at bat, you could tell he wasn't confident. 5. LaRussa is worse than Baker. LaRussa has to be gone or this White Sox team will stay stagnant and dominate a terrible division. For people hammering the Astros saying they didnt get punished enough. behind the scenes it was bad losing Lunhow the best GM in baseball and development. Also Hinch one of the top 3 Managers in the game. MLB commish told astros ownership those were the guys that needed to go. We lost multiple 1st rd pick oh and for something that every team does. The astros just happen to be the scapegoat. Its a damn shame Manfred has let the Astros hanging out there... when there is proof of the Yankees scheme and how bad it is. Hopefully one day they will release the letter if it ever get thru the courts, which it wont. They will protect their beloved yankees. Everyone cheats in baseball. I played 3 years off and on for the giants and Braves. They had stuff going on back then 2008-2011. Wont go into details. Hope yall have a great off season! Till next time.
  2. From ground level... Mccullers was pulled with a little blister issue on finger. Something he hasnt dealt with a lot before. Sorry on phone typing
  3. brain says 7-3 astros. But gut says 6-5 White Soxs, Astros Pen blows lead late.
  4. If there is a game 5 tomorrow. I have 2 extra tickets come on down to Houston! 2nd row behind 1st base dugout. Face Value there yours!
  5. I agree Dusty is a cocky, moronic manager. Glad this is his last year. Look for Astros to turn the tire on Jeff Bagwell or circling back to Hinch, he wants out of Det
  6. Its funny because its true. But also funny because every team use video and communication to relay pitches. EVERYONE. Lets talk about the White Sox Home and Road batting splits? Or does that not count? Besides I see major differences unlike the Astros splits away/home.
  7. OK besides your very well thought out 17-0 prediction. What does your head say?
  8. Fun enough Morton wife wanted to come back to Houston both chances they had. But Astros were unwillingly to pay. TB really need to add 2/3 established starters to solidify them.
  9. I dont think jimenez scares McCullers. Robert sure. Grandal loves those back foot sliders, not too worried there.
  10. Best of luck tomorrow! I have enjoyed reading the baseball talk. Good smack talk is fun and light hearted. I will have to stick around throughout playoffs! Grab a beer on me tomorrow if you are at the park let me know
  11. I could say the same about the couple sitting next to me last night 7 rows up from home plate.... They were on facebook all game long and even stood and cheered for the wrong team at one point. I guess when playoff baseball has been dormant for 13 years you get excited when you can!
  12. You are lucky Chicago is my 3rd favorite city! Or I would take offense to that. I will say I believe the 2 best teams are playing right now. Rays SP depth is showing. The Red Sox cant pitch to save their lives. They got an out of world performance from pivetta yesterday.
  13. Knowledgeable Astros fans who arent bandwagon fans are not pissed. Season ticket holder for 15 years. Im in chicago currently with a group of 10. All love the decision. 4 of them are former scouts.
  14. Astros lurker here.... Just an FYI LMJ numbers have been statically better on the road this year ERA at 2.7 compared to 3.5 at home. Also has been way less homer prone on road then the juice box. Only gave up 4 all year on road, I think 2 came in one game. Knowledgeable Astros fans knew this was going to happen and is absolutely the right call. You dont play to setup your rotation for a possible ALCS, you play for the jugular. I know White Soxs excel vs Lefty pitching but if you have a chance to pitch your best 2 arms to close out a series you do it. Plus like somebody said Urquidy out of the pen is a much better option that trying to get 4-6 innings out of him. I would also expect Presley would be available fo 2 innings tomorrow if thats what the game dictates. He has done it in the past and effectively. See yall guys tomorrow. Good luck!
