  1. If Thomas goes, the Sox will either grab a cheaper DH (like Sierra) or platoon Liefer, Lee, and Konerko at DH, 1B, and LF. They aren't going to throw Lee at DH for good, it wouldn't be good for either parties. If Lee starts DH'ing at the age of 25, his value will go down. They'll platoon the three guys. I'd also like to see Maggs in left, but taht won't happen till Borchard is up and that won't be for a few months.
  2. as of right now it is Lee. If Thomas decides to stay, then Lee could be dealt.
  3. I didn't even know i could credit for this. even so, I wouldn't it. I'm doing this all for experience however.
  4. that interview was from awhile ago. he hasn't spoken since they invoked it.
  5. I have no idea why some people actually want Clemens. Have you guys seen him the past few seasons? he starts off great only to tail off considerably at the midpoint. I wouldn't get him unless it is for under 5-6 mil, anymore would be a total waste.
  6. you know what heather, I can delete your post really easy if I wanted too. I get no respect on this board.
  7. sorry guys, it won't be up tomorrow. I'm aiming for tomorrow night.
  8. main site isn't down, that is the wrong link you spelled kruszewski wrong http://www.soxnet.net/kruszewski/article-10.16.html

  10. marathons suck. I live right by Comiskey and they blocked off all the god damn streets. I was in Michigan for the weekend and couldn't even get to my own house. good luck to the runners, but the people who organize it are either really stupid or just plain ole ignorant.
  11. I actually wouldn't mind Reynolds. I was a fan of his a few years back when he was healthy. Also, I don't think he would terrible to the point where he wouldn't be productive. If you really look at our rotation for next year, we have maybe 3 definates. If he comes in throws a consistent 5.00 ERA, that would be better than anything else. I doubt he can be a strong #2, but he's capable of 4.50 ERA with 10-14 wins. But like you said jas, he's a smart vet. Sign him for one year with an option for the second.

    Errors

I have a funny feeling you are refering to me.
  13. that was basically what I expected. RARELY do GM's, especially anyone from the Sox, go out and answer the legit questions. they answer the easiest and safest questions. there really isn't even a point in doing them. the only reason I see people asking is to get their name shown.
  14. you calling me stupid?
  15. don't worry michelle, I still don't understand the board
  16. don't worry michelle, I'm just gonna make it where every time you visit a page, you must enter a password and pay $2.00. Would that be a problem?
  17. Hey guys, We changed the format of the site for the offseason. Added a poll and dumped some of the useless stuff. A new format will be up out around February or so with a few newer features as well. Just want to know if you guys have any suggestions for next year. Anyone? Other than that, this message has no real importance.
  18. noted and done soxfan.
  19. we are soxnet.net michelle, and nobody has that e-mail address.
  20. Mark (Murcielago) brought up the idea to Mike on SnR of having a SoxNet softball team. Just want to see if anyone is interested in joining.
  21. that is what the make the yanks who they are. teams make mistakes, the yanks don't. the angels left men on base, and then gave the Yanks the chance to comeback and they won. the yanks don't win on beating other teams, they win by waiting for other teams to fail.
  22. I will say this, both of his moves were fine. Could he of brought in Percival? yeah, but I don't think it makes a difference. Teams have 5-6 guys in the pen, 3-4 which they rely on. You can't just assume it is a bad move based on the outcome. Donnelly was pitching good for them all year. Now I know everyone outside of baseball question it based on "playoff baseball", but the Angels won 99 games this season while using that same approach. It isn't as if he did anything different. He did what he usually does and got beat for it. As far as the Yanks and Angels. I agree with Jason taht the Yankees aren't that great, but they don't make mistakes. If you make one mistake and slow down a bit they will hurt you come playoff time. I do think the Angels, A's, or Twins can beat them, it may take the max amount of games, but they can definitely be beat.
  23. I haven't left yet, not sure when I'm leaving. Anyway, we almost were gonna have one this past soxfest, but decided not to. As far as this next one? we are definitely considering it. if all you guys here are up for it and would like to make one, we can arrange for it. it won't just be a soxnet booth though, perhaps we can have all three sites: soxnet, soxtalk, and soxandroll.

  25. I do agree, nobody should complain about SnR. there is a warning there, plain and simple. you know what you are listening too. I don't think it was someone upset with teh language though, as I'm sure all of you already know.
