  1. QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 10:03 PM)
    You're prob right. I said something similar right after the trade 2+ years ago, and everybody here jumped on me.

    Because at the time, saying that about a 22 year old with his ability and history was ignorant.

  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 11:14 AM)
    So the refereeing in that Leicester game, wow, what a s*** show. Of course in the end Leicester still managed to get a point out of it

    That was a pretty interesting display. I actually completely agreed with the Vardy diving yellow. I actually wish more referees would do that. Maybe it could help curtail the diving. The West Ham penalty was suspect. I'm guessing he called it since he had a talking to with both Huth and Morgan minutes earlier. Then he completely missed the penalty on Huth only to follow it up with awarding basically another dive by Schlupp with a penalty. I guess a draw was a fair result but that was not a great display by Moss.

    Having the deadline to update party enrollment more than 6 months before the primary is just absolutely ridiculous. Bernie will probably lose New York for that reason alone.

    Yeah, that's the reason

  4. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 10:55 AM)
    Really good episode of The Walking Dead last night. Negan's entrance was awesome, and the last 15 minutes of the episode were so intense.

    I'm okay with the way they left it. We know someone in the group met Lucille. I just hope they don't end up taking the easy road and make it one of the "secondary" characters. It really needs to be Glenn or Daryll or even Abraham.

    I really can't see it being anyone else. And it really shouldn't be anyone else either.

  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 11:42 AM)
    You guys gonna miss Abdullah? Good for him choosing health over career

    Definitely. He could step up and play the slot or help out as an extra safety. Was good in coverage and could get pressure on the QB. He's not a game changer, but he's a very solid, versatile player who could help any team. Especially hurts the depth with Tyvon Branch and Sean Smith also leaving. KC now needs to sign at least one safety and draft some sort of DB early. No ill feelings towards him, but it's kind of frustrating that he never said anything about thinking of retirement to the Chiefs staff until he actually retired. That could have perhaps led KC to pursue keeping Branch a little more seriously if they knew that's what he was contemplating.

  6. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 11:03 AM)
    To be a Republican right now must be difficult.

    Pick your poison carefully... preferably the poison that kills you the easiest.

    I don't think it's all that much different for Democrats. Hillary is reviled by a lot of people and their only other option is someone far left. Neither party has a candidate right now that people can really be jumping for joy over. Personally, unless Kasich somehow wins at the convention, I can't see myself voting for any other Republican candidate, so I'll be voting for Clinton.

  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 04:43 PM)
    I just realized that the first pitch for opening day is going to be a 9 freaking 10 pm. Whatever happened to a day game for the first day of baseball? That absolutely sucks.

    Well if it makes you feel better it's 10:10 for me, so I'll most likely be in bed :lol:

  8. So what do people think are the realistic odds that Bernie Sanders is the Democratic nominee? He's really not that far off from Hillary and tends to poll better nationally when directly compared to Republican nominees. Just curious what people think who follow the party closer than I do.

  9. I've read a lot, but definitely not all of this thread, so this may have been covered. But I keep seeing people mentioning Rollins and to a lesser extent Navarro and Frazier as the ones who complained to management. Is there anything actually suggesting this is true or are people just assuming because they are new to the team this year?

  10. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 02:56 PM)
    I will not vote for Trump over Hillary

    then I will not vote for Hillary over any other Democrat

    Whoever is not Trump or Hillary gets my vote

    Am I too arrogant to think this is the smartest move and what a majority of America is thinking?

    Yes.

    Whoever is not Trump or Bernie will be getting my vote.

  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 04:10 PM)
    Fox cancels next debate after Trump drops. Has them by the balls I guess.

    You're such a fanboy.

    Kasich also dropped out so Fox had to cancel it. Not much of a debate to have Ted Cruz, or anyone else, up there by himself.

  12. So apparently John Kasich might not be on the Pennsylvania primary ballot? He barely had enough signatures and some were questioned by a Rubio supporter and thrown out. However, the apopeal was lodged 13 minutes after the deadline to challenge it. It sounds a bit confusing.

    Not one to miss a good loophole, Trump of course is jumping on this fact and saying that Kasich should not be allowed to run in Ohio, where they are neck and neck in the polls. This is a depressing soap opera.

  13. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 13, 2016 -> 06:38 PM)
    Awesome. Notre Dame gets to play a s***ty team on short rest. I thought Michigan getting in was a joke but then Tulsa? How the hell do you justify Tulsa?

    You can't. Same with Syracuse. Pitt being out of the play in game is baffling too. Feel bad for Monmouth and St. Bonaventure

  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 08:41 PM)
    According to the KC Star, freshmen enrollment at Mizzou is down 1,500 students. Upperclassmen are transferring in droves. Teachers won't see any raises this year. They cant fill teacher openings and it sounds like they expect teachers to leave. Discussing shutting down programs thanks to this mess. A 32 million dollar budget deficit, up to 25 of which is directly attributed to the protests. It's greatly helped UMKC though.

    Not surprising. If I was a prospective college student out that way, any interest I may have had in that university would be greatly diminished

  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 09:15 PM)
    Kasich wants to build the wall. Soxtalk is Kasich haven, what say you?

    Interesting strategy this debate. Early on, everyone is stealing trumps positions positions instead of attacking him. This is new. The other 3 met together this week along with Jeb Bush; i bet this was the plan. Let's see how Trump reacts.

    He said he wants to finish a wall, as in the existing one. Not build some monstrosity like Trump wants. Kasich's also held this position from the beginning. But hey, details don't matter to Trump fanboys.
