  1. The only reason why Gordon Beckham still has a major league job is because he's a former first round draft pick. Beckham hasn't changed much in the last four years. He's abysmal at the plate and has a good glove leading to a WAR of about 1/season. For a rebuilding team there is no excuse to have Beckham take any PA away from Semien. Semien is much more valuable next year with as many big league PA as possible under his belt this year.
  2. He'll be making his major league debut at the age of 29. He must be ecstatic. Great for him.
  3. Really looking forward to the plethora of weak ground balls hit to the left side. And pop ups. Lots of pop ups.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 08:21 PM) 6 innings for Danish 1 run. 0 k's Kinda weird. Hard to strike people out when hitters are hitting it into the ground. I doubt Danish had that many pitches considering he went 6 IP. A fine start.
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 08:58 PM) It's one of those just hope he hits it at somebody type of situations. !!!
  6. Almost had a heart attack with Viciedo's adventure out there.
  7. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 09:41 PM) THey need to bring a long man up with him. He walks waaay too many guys. I wouldn't be surprised if Leesman is sent down after the game is over. Bring up a fresh bullpen arm and hope that Hanson can go on the next go-around.
  8. Leesman's YTD stats: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?p...&pid=489056
  9. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 09:32 PM) Any chance that Hansen will be the dude they bring up? Leesman in line to pitch Wednesday for Charlotte. No way Hanson comes up
  10. That was a hilariously long ground rule double.
  11. Has anyone seen any scouting reports on Trayce so far this year? Small sample size, but good, sustained production over 75 PA is nothing to sneeze at.
  12. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 08:24 PM) Not sure if this was posted but it looks like Hoffman's last outing on the 17th was a good one. Granted, it was against Middle Tennessee. http://www.ecupirates.com/sports/m-basebl/.../041714aac.html His stuff was apparently very, very good. I wouldn't really read too much into the quality of opponents.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 06:36 PM) Beck with another disappointing start. Just seems like he gives up far too many hits considering how few strikeouts he gets. He is incredibly overrated. If he doesn't improve upon last year's K/9IP ratio, his future lies in the pen.
  14. Bahahaha, conspiracy theory time! Hawk is so bad.
  15. Hawk being passive aggressive with replays. Lovely.
  16. Doubtful he was on the bag, but replays not showing much.
