Nevermind. I thought this was about something else. . .

Finally saw Inception (took a while to scrounge up some friends willing to go with me). I really liked it, but I can't help but feel the ending is a cop out or a little cliched. Very well done, though, and I think I can anticipate what questions my students will ask when we talk about sleep and dreaming. I will say it was nice to sit through a movie that had some originality to it (I think that's why the ending felt off to me--it was just so predictable). Also, Cillian Murphy.

They both did something stupid and illegal. None of them should have their humanity revoked. Won't be the first time I'm called self-righteous, won't be the last.

As I am invincible and will live forever, this is not an issue for me.

Big ups to my Senator (Amy Klobuchar) for calling out some of the sexist coverage of Kagan. I'm not a big Kagan fan, but I don't think she should be publicly critiqued for not sitting like a lady, dressing dowdy or playing softball.

It's foggy here and cold and damp. And the stupid fog horn beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep noise happens every few minutes or so. It kept me up all night last night--hopefully it stops soon.

This is my lab/dane mix (we think). Her name is Caton and she is the sweetest, doofiest dog ever. Right now she is a very sad dog because she messed up her knee and is on crate rest for 8 weeks.
