  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) To send a message, I request that I be put in league 5. This way if people have a problem with me they can request to be put in another league and avoid me and my cheating ways. and thanks for doing this.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) Yes, there was another, it didn't really bother me so much that Latino Heat was upset. It was more that the other guy felt the need to put his two cents in when it didn't even affect him. Damn I know how to hold a grudge. maybe it was cause he saw what i saw, which was a whole season become a waste of time cause of the crazy adding and dropping.
  3. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 06:18 PM) Well next time log on to your computer faster because honestly, there's a bunch of people who do that on Yahoo and I've been on the "bad" side of that. Plus all the rules are set once the league is set. You really can't complain about something you didn't think of and someone else did. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, but I'm just saying the facts. that's just not cool. so basically the point is to log on asap? what if you got work and can't do fantasy stuff till the nite? that just sucks the fun out of a league and becomes a waste of a season and time. i can undertand if you can log on earlier. but when ppl just start adding and dropping just any pitchers to get more K's, it's not cool. fantasy baseball is more about expertise on the sport and should be less of who can click a button first .
  4. QUOTE(valponick @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) That other guy you're talking about is me. I never said you cheated, you just took advantage of the way the league was set up. Most leagues stop free agency at some point int the league, usually right around when the playoffs are starting. The last match of the league (2 weeks long) was you and another team who were both on fire and it was set to be a good matchup. When you started adding and dropping 5-7 pitchers per day to inflate your stats is when it became bush league. Free agency is part of fantasy baseball but it is best for a league to at the very least have a maximum allowed number of transactions per week to avoid things like this. What it ended up coming down to was whoever logged on first and picked up all of the free agent pitchers who were throwing the next day. I should also add that the Hornswogglers didn't start doing it until you did. thank you, i'm glad someone agreed with why i didn't like their tactics. couldn't have said it any better. it doesn't have to be be monkey see, monkey doo. i don't care if he saw other ppl do it b4. once again, thanx valpo for the defense.
  5. it be me, thelatinoheat_30. i'd like to be in a league that's not #5, h2h, and as late a draft as possible in march.
  6. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) I hope there's something in this contract that forbids him from cutting his mullett. me too, lol.
  7. Williams has proved himself in Chicago from foxsports.com only thing i don't agree with is the writer says we should have traded pods instead of a-row. but then we wouldn't have a lead-off hitter. otherwise, a good article.
  8. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) Not entirely sure why this was bumped, but I'll still make this a keeper if there is enough demand. I haven't heard from many of the players though. Please respond with your opinion if you see this. I'll send out PM's after the playoffs (in the real league, not fantasy) if I need to. hey i'm hornswogglers but i don't wanna do the keeper league thing cause kalapse will prolly beat me just based on his ability to add and drop pitchers more than i could. i don't mind losing fair and square but i don't think that's how a champ should be decided and something shoulda be done when he started doing that.
  9. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) Hope everything turns out alright. ditto
  10. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) f***in ay'. They were the only station to play Pantera, Lamb of God, Classic Megadeth...even if it was after hours. yea, mudvayne, slipknot, killswitch engage, and chevelle too
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) when was being guns n rosey a bad thing???? i concur
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 02:06 PM) That station cant hold a format. It has changed so many times i cant even remember all of them. I even remember way back when it was Z95. It takes an awful lot of effort and reciprocated effort from advertisers too keep a station on the same format. Especially a station like the Zone trying to cut in on Q101's market. If you are going up against a monster like that, you better bring the big guns. The Zone started strong, but never maintained their alternative mantra, slipped into 80's rock and mainstream rock(crap), and now it seems as if they just gave up. Too bad really, competition gives you better quality. twas sad to hear oldies playin when i turned my radio on to my first preset yesterday. i thought the exact opposite. they started off playing bad alternative music, like q101. then they started getting better, getting better djs and playing real rock, heavier, more melodic rock along with some classic stuff. like the only bad thing on it was their overplaying of the political systemofadown. and they had cool segments like "midday metallica", "90's @ nine", "fight club", "extreme zone", "top 20", and "hard drive". hard drive was the best, first place i always heard the best new music first. and of course, the 40 min. non-stop was cool cause ya knew they'd play music for the first 40 min of the hour and then between :45 and :50, so ya could skip the commercials. i guess no more radio for me, most of the loop is too light for my liking. 95 wiil rock is cool, but there based in kenosha, so its' tough getting em here, unless its a car radio. twas a good ride while it lasted.
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 08:11 AM) We'll be there.. And tell me about the whiny crap.. :rolly I get up at least 2 hours before most of you "kids".. work a full time job longer then your school day.. and maintain a household.. yet still find the time to attend weeknight games - and most of the time go out after the game. good for you, no one cares
  14. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 08:52 AM) i was at the brewers game yesterday and overbay hit a homer and singled, he seems to make contact and hit the ball better konerko but i still dont get where we would put him, and thats the problem when you have a full infield and everett also as a DH possibility. cragi was right brewers fans loved him there, every time he stepped up to the plate they all held up big O's or made one with their arms and kept saying O constantly. We could use another lefty power bat the only problem is where to put him and what to do when a guy like frank thomas gets back, i guess my only question is, can he play third or would we plan to put konerko at third like the padres putting nevin to catcher? i went to a brew crew game recently too, it was cool when they did that O thing. he is a doubles hitter and would fit in better into our style than konerko, solid left-handed bat and he's been on a tear, right on time. the reason they wanna trade him now is that they got one of the best prospects in the country in prince fielder and they wanna get him some playing time and his position happens to be 1B.
