  1. I bet we'll see things change up a bit and this deal may turn into a reality a month from now or even a couple weeks from now.
  2. Yep, I have always liked the idea of Ponson. However, I don't like giving up Lee straight up because right now we have nothing proven to add on offensively. Borchard isn't ready from what I saw of him. He's definately made some improvements but he now needs to work on them in the minors for a couple of months. Now if the Sox could find a way to bring in another outfielder or something, then I definately would be for it, especially now that I have concern over Wright's health. Jas....since when is Daubach not proven? i thought dau looked pretty good this past weekend....... That's always good to hear How the hell was that trip anyways? trip was good.. was nice to be in the sun.. i tried to look up our mr. bullard but had no luck.. i did however get to sit down and talk a little while with my hero mr. miles... a common friend did the introductions.....i was very happy to have that chance... hes a wonderful guy........and im not being biased.............i would love to have him on the team...... jas you were very anti miles.. what changed your mind????????? I'm studying for a test but I got quite a few things to say about him tomorrow after the test when I can write a long thing up. He's gonna be right there very high up on the list, along with Sanders and Munoz. I met up with Bullard over at the minor league facilities, he was pretty nice. I never did see ya Michelle. I looked for you and waited for the phone call, but without luck. The weather sure was nice out there though.

Jas....since when is Daubach not proven? I forgot about him. I realized it after I made the post. Also, why not just sign Finley or Rogers. I know we lose a draft pick, but if it means the Sox can go to the series then a 2nd round pick is a small price to pay. He'd be a lefty, has pitched in the AL pretty much is entire career minus parts of last season and would be a pretty darn good #5. Plus, right now it would be nice to have insurance in case Wright goes down. If thats the case, then I think Aaron Miles makes the team. I'm going to do a write up tomorrow, but damn I like that kid. Remember, I was anti Miles beforehand.

  5. Dang, thats a whole lot of money getting passed around. If thats true then Mark is nuts. I just got back so I don't have much info on the subject.
  6. The guy has the composure of a 34 year old. He handled all the hype perfectly. He never let it effect him and just worries about his pitching. Its why he's so special. Most of these "cant miss guys" just have the "stuff". Prior has the "stuff", "control", "delivery", and "Makeup" (i'm not talking about the stuff Bozo the Clown Wears).
  7. Ya, technically we aren't supposed to post articles from other sites because its against Copyright. We can however, quote parts of the article and all that stuff. From Chicagosports.com By Teddy Greenstein Thats about it. It also mentions how Borchard is going to get more playing time since Rowand can play in the field till March 14th.
  8. now tell me that your own life isnt interesting enough that you have to sit and watch that s***...........please............go out and make your own reality ..........instead of watching someone elses........ I'm with you on that. I was just doing homework and it happened to be on that channel. I can watch Joe Millionaire and that other stuff a bit, but this I just couldn't stand.
  9. I don't know if anyone watched that filth. I had it on for about 20 minutes, wasn't watching much, but was doing some homework and happened to hear it. God did that crap suck. I quickly had to change the channel so I don't give that filth ratings. PURE CRAP
  10. Your other boy Olivo has struggled quite a bit. I think he's getting the Sox pretty scared right now. Of course its way too early to panick.

    Guys, bad news

Hey WSC, I think you need to convince your parents to fly you out to Arizona so you can watch a months worth of bsaeball or so. I think thats the base way to cure it Just take whatever the medication is and don't put so much pressure on yourself and things like that. Relax, have fun and enjoy life taking it one day at a time. Hope you get better man.
  12. I'd say yes, but I look around and most teams just give the standard raises until arbitrtation. Dodger fans are complaining that the Dodgers screwed Gagne, Angel fans are doing the same with a couple of the guys they just renewed contracts with. I think it happens all around the majors. Now, would it be great to give this kid an extra couple hundred k, hell ya it would. The thing is maybe the owners think about it and if they give their special players a raise then the other ones will demand it and it will continue to push those salaries up. This way if they keep doing the standard thing, they won't push salaries up.
  13. Played a few games in AAA towards the end of the season. He had 10 hr's in 176 AAA at bats. That comes out to quite a few over a typical season. I couldn't find his full stats. I thought I had them somewhere, but had no luck.
  14. He's a bit older, 25 (turns 26 on the 10th of March), and did miss all of last season, but this kid is a hitting machine. He's hit throughout the minors and I firmly believe if given the chance, he could turn out a lot like Magglio. I'm not saying he'll be as good cause thats hard pressed, but he hasn't been hyped, neither was Mario and both have been hitting machines. Mario and Maggs both hit the ball hard and have "live" bats. He killed the ball last spring then got hurt.

    Damn Cop Dogs

The person who got caught dealing at my school was expelled from the district.
  16. Diaz stays in to pitch the 11th inning. -Groundout to Willie Harris -Diaz strikes out Jason Hart and made him look silly -Ryan Christensen singled up the middle; not a hard hit ball -Ruben Sierra gets out SOX WIN SOX WIN Diaz gets the Win and pitched two scoreless innings. Mario Valenzula and Joe Borchard had the big days at the plate.
  17. -One out single by Scott Morgan -Miguel Olivo (Pinch Hits) rips a grounder to 3rd and he's robbed of a double on a great play by Mark Textierra. Morgan advanced to 2nd on the play. -Mario Valenzuala crushes into the gap for another rbi double. This time it puts the Sox up 9-8. -Jamie Burke grounds out. 9-8 Sox going into the bottom of the 11th.
  18. Diaz was sharp getting through the inning quickly.
  19. -One, two, three inning for the Sox in the top of the 10th. Felix Diaz should be pitching.
  20. - Scott Morgan will now play first base. This takes Aaron Miles (Who Pinch Ran and Scored the Tying run in the top of the ninth) out of the game. -Ruben Sierra leads the inning off with a hit -Donnie Sadler gets out -Someone flies out to Willie Harris -Burke guns down Ruben Sierra who tried to steal a base. -Felix Diaz is warming up in the bullpen and will likely pitch in the bottom of the 10th.
  21. -Daubach starts things off with a leadoff double; Aaron Miles pinch runs -Aaron Rowand (DH) sacrifices Miles to 3rd. It appears that Rowand's hand took a bit of the ball on the bunt. -Mario Valenzula hits an RBI double into the gap, tying the game at 8. -Borchard grounds out to 3rd. Wunsch is going to come back out in the bottom of the ninth. The game is tied at 8th.
  22. -Wunsch walks the first guy he faces, so there are 2 on with nobody out. (Runners on 1st and 2nd) -Wunsch strikes out Jason Hart (One Out) Wunsch retires the final two, ending the inning. We now go to the top of the ninth.
  23. The key stat that has baffled me is how much his stolen base numbers have dropped. This guy was a threat to steal every time he reached base before the injury and I don't think he really lost any speed. Last year, he wasn't running much at all, although he did have quite a few triples, which shows he's got some speed. I'd like to see him really work on getting more steals.
  24. Kelly Wunsch is entering the ball game now. I got to say, even though this announcers suck. Listening to a game while typing up some homework is more relaxing then simply typing up some homework.
  25. 8-7 Now. Ginter gave up a leadoff single and then Mark Textierra doubled the guy in. Ginter was hit on the leadoff single and now doctors are checking him out; They just pulled him.
