  1. Next Cub for DL.... Zambrano...watch. He's lucky Wood had TJ so it's a less chance he gets injured but I think he still would. Probably rotator cuff surgery if he keeps this up. :fthecubs
  2. No problem. Don't worry about it. Hell, I'm talking if I was a Moderator.
  3. I think Barry is waiting till he goes hom to Pac Bell to hit the homer. I dunno for some odd reason I think that is what he's doing. But that's just me. BTW, next time put a topic like this in the Sports Bar not Pale Hose.
  4. Or because he just couldn't locate his pitches...

    Wow...

    That is so true. :fthecubs

    Hello

Be Good, its been a while... Welcome back bro.
  7. The ball carries better in center at the cell anyway. I'm sure we'll see plenty of homers that way this season... BTW, we were haunted by the BC curse from the yank$.
  8. You are so wrong. First of all, I didn't see most of the game because I was at a Easter banquet, but I saw Cotts stat line and read what he did. Don't you see, his control was absolutely on point. No I'm not saying it cause he did well today, but when he "imploded" last year, that was when he was wild in the strike zone and he was just learning ho to pitch, plus how Manuel handled the situation. Now that Ozzie is manager, Cotts is going to be more comfortable in games as far as knowing Ozzie has faith in him. Cotts is going to be a staller starter no way he deserves to be in the pen I can't believe you can even think that. Danny Wrong is another story because he has bullpen like stuff. He can only last 3-4 innings if that which he proved today. In 2002, ok he won 14 games tell me what was his era? in the 5's I do believe. I don't care if he pitched well in the second half or not, his "stuff" didn't impress me then and it doesn't now. He gives up way too many hrs to be a starter at all. He reminds me alot of Latroy Hawkins. Absolutely dreadful as a starter but pretty decent in the pen. I think it's best for him to be in the pen.
  9. Cotts has to get the 5th starter's job. I know he's gonna pitch well there.
  10. Alrgiht!! Reed went 2-4. Borchard went 2-5 too. Also giving credit to stellar performanes from Grilli and Pacheco as well.
  11. I would love Cotts to get a shot, but Adkins... :puke
  12. Castro and Reed are two guys I love in the organization (my profile proves that) I hope they both take that next step in Reed to the Majors and Castro to AA.
  13. This is a new team with an entirely different attitude. I can't wait to see how much fun were gonna have all this season.
  14. Don't forget the other high paid players Suckfield, and Giombli.

    BTW

Brewers not too far away in second place. :fthecubs
  16. First of all, I was saying that in regards to chisoxfanjoe's remark of homers always redeeming a player from errors, it was notregarding you Brando. Second, I already know about Valentin's defense. He always makes the good plays it was more if can he throw it straight to first in time. And he makes a good play every once in a while so what? I can name countless times El Caballo made catches last year that were big game in and game out, and Torii Hunter robbing the hell outta everyone in every game. I would gladly take a Carlos Guillen or a Cabrera type SS for this team anyday of the week. We have plenty of offense already. A good defensive man is more needed IMO.

    What a weird-o

I told him to lay an egg, and I don't know what the f*** he was doing.
  18. True, but homers will not always help you in key situations. I don't care if a guy had 4 homers in a game, if he makes that key error, your team not only loses the game, but loss confidence in that guy and his defense. If that pitch didn't hang, Valentin probably would have struke out plain and simple.
  19. Sergio Mitre was very impressive but dumb ass Baker took him out in the 8th and cost him and the cubs a win. Muhahahahaha thank god too, even though I like Mitre, I just can't stand a scrubbie win. Sox 3-2 Cubs 2-3 Gotta love it!!!
  20. Man that dumb ass took that kid Mitre out. I believe this is his statline 7 2/3 in. 5 hits 1 run 0 (or 1) earned 2 Wks. 4 SO I think. Very impressive for just his 2nd major league start. Just turning 24 years old. What a stud. Too bad Dusty's dumb ass cost him the win and the game. BTW.... :fthecubs

    What a weird-o

That s*** is funny. Nice find steff.
  22. Hell I remember a few times Koch touched 102 with the jays. He was an absolute stud back then. He did hit 96-99 with the A's I do recall. But his era was higher.
  23. Don't know if this is a reliable or not but according to the chisox message board, and cbs sportsline message board from Southtown Bruce Levine (this can go 50/50) is reporting that the Sox and Ordonez are looking into a 6 year 68 million dollar deal. It could be done by this week. Again don't know if there's any truth to this, but this is what the buzz is about. Hopefully management can make it happen.
