  1. Damn that would be sweet. It'll be somethin if the Warthogs could beat the Knights. (even if it's exhibition) Talk about a confidence booster..
  2. BTW, if all the Willie fans (WHarris13 and WillieHarris2) want to know, Willie's # for this year is going to be...
  3. The minors really don't mean s***. You could be a .600 hitter in AAA and suck in the majors. (I'm telling you this before Steff jumps all over you for saying that ) Willie is really a AAAA hitter. Hopefully he can get adjusted to major league hitting which I think he is. He was hitting some line drives in the outfield this year. Unfortunitely it was right to the outfielders. He can hit the pitching, he just needs to find those gaps and go for them. He'll be a hellofa hitter this year if he can get on base with good, solid hits.
  4. Plus, Walker wanted to go a contending team. I don't think he felt that the sox were contenders.
  5. Here's alittle quote from Olivo and Guillen. Olivo Guillen
  6. Ah...Luther and Barry. Still play those slow jams till this day. Don't forget Marvin Gaye as well.
  7. I agree that he wasn't (loaiza) but it's gonna be tough to replace those 242 innings he pitched. Best pitcher or not, he really helped the rotation with that. Now we have to count on Shoey and the 5th Starter to come through.
  8. If he is, I'll take it. He need some success from shoey in order to go anywhere. Does that mean he'll go 21-9 2.90 and be the all-star starter?!

I hope he does make a comeback. And I'm hoping it can be done in 1 year too.

And just to back up you and jim's statement, here's an article about Malone having surgery and a very good read on Ozzie expecting his pitchers to go to distance. Starters Expected To Go To Distance
  11. I thought it was him. Man there were some amazing players in the Negro Leagues. If only it could of been..
  12. And this is the same man Whitney Houston fell in love with.. :headshake
  13. Wasn't Josh Gibson the one who hit like 80 hrs. in one year for the Negro Leagues?
  14. We don't know if he will or won't. It's a longshot, but that doesn't mean he can't do it. (who expected him to hit over .400 in AA?) We'll see how his performance pans out.
  15. Agreed. I doubt that myself. I don't care how aggresive Ozzie is, I still don't think Reed will get 40. The only person I can see stealing 40+ bases on the sox is Willie Harris.
  16. Top Prospects in AL Central I'm sure we already know this, but it's saying when they should move up to the bigs. They got Reed projected as a .300-20-90-40 player in his prime.
  17. I know my history man. Just not past 1900 But I'm still learning though. I'm sure there's still some players back then I haven't heard before that were amazing..But very few of them.
  18. That's good for the sox. Both pitchers get what they want, and the chemisrty right now is dead on thanx to ozzie...I think this team is going to be fun to watch this year.

Damn, he was one of our hyped prospects, and now he's gone way downhill. It's a shame.
  20. Just in Homers. I dont think he would make that list any joke but in homers. The other players have done amazing things other than hit homers.
