  1. Awesome interview, we’re going to miss that guy
  2. Headlining Ortiz wouldn’t even be realistic for 1 year of Cease, let alone 2
  3. It’s inferred when condescending language is used on what Getz should accept in a deal.
  4. Have at it 👍 He does need to drop his pants. And if he doesn’t, cool. What we’re tired of is your opinion that Getz needs to drop his pants, when he’s the one holding the asset.
  5. This also comes down to opinion. Ortiz is more ready to contribute with a higher floor. Schultz has higher risk, but far greater value if he hits. Dealers choice.
  6. You’re not hurting anyone’s feelings. It’s just that lack of self awareness is a sign of narcissism. This gets further demonstrated by suggesting other opinions are ridiculous and that your opinions are fact.
  7. Thank goodness we have your objective evaluations 😄
  8. I’m sure he eventually ends up there, as he ages. I think he plays short for his first couple years though.
  9. Ideally, but our consultants in Baltimore informed us this is the best we can get.
  10. Then why ask the question if Cease has red flags? Seems like a dumb question.
  11. Players with no red flags get 700 million dollar contracts
  12. Can’t gamble without chips on the table
  13. Eloy was being explored as a trade by himself supposedly. He has value, although not extensive. He’s not a throw in for cash considerations, he would add value to a trade if he were included.
  14. No, they don’t need to shed payroll. Eloy isn’t blocking anyone.
  15. By your own standard, would Elias be unreasonable to offer that deal?
  16. What business is it of yours what White Sox fans want in return for Cease? Realistic or not, that’s what it is. Not your problem.
  17. I haven’t discussed pitching as a priority return. It’s reasonable to accept and offer whatever. There’s little doubt you’ve convinced yourself as being correct.
  18. He’d say yes, as any reasonable person would.
  19. Likelihood and what’s reasonable are not the same thing
  20. Qualifying as reasonable is a subjective measurement. You have your view, cool. The league hasn’t met Getz’s asking price to date. But it doesn’t sound like Getz is done talking with other teams, who are well aware of the ask. If he ends up keeping him, that’s the choice. Nothing about that is unreasonable.
  21. Are we approaching a deadline of some sort? What hasn’t happened to date is not a solid indicator of what’s “reasonable”
