  1. with over 4 million votes cast Pods trails Jeter by less than 5,000 let's get out the vote gang.....it's a 2 horse race unless Japan stuffs it with millions for their guy tonight bench
  2. any lineup that includes Crazy Carl in the outfield is a bad idea....he couldn't catch a fly ball if you handed it to him, he's a Dh or pinch hitter only bench
  3. Ozzie should be on any minute now....... sumpthin' about he tells it like it is......... ain't it great to be a Sox fan! bench
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan56789 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) I voted for Frank that's exactly what I'm afraid of fan....& why people who know baseball want to take the vote away from the fans bench
  5. I was visiting White Sox .com....they show pics of several Sox players & it says vote early & vote often. Frank Thomas' mugshot is among the group, now as much as I & very many of all of you love the Big Hurt, can you imagine voting for him NOW without having played a game & not knowing when he will. I had to giggle, but........that being said I wouldn't be surprised if some of our die hards have already voted for Frank oh well go go Soxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx bench
  6. I recall in the early 60's crowds of fewer than 1,000 fans at wrigley for some weekday games...it seems the Sox with far better teams throughout most of the 50's & 60's were at least on an even keel with the cub....the killer was when Harry & Piersall moved from the South side to the north side...there act was very popular at old Comiskey, remember the Falstaff cow in the 70's? & Harry hanging out of the booth, beer in hand, or broad- casting from the centefield bleachers...in an attempt to clean up the Sox' image Einhorn & Reinsdorf allowed that popular announcing crew to run norht with alot of casual &/or young fans...too bad bench
  7. last year I was rather disappointed with soxnet very poorly written articles at that time, hopefully it's gotten better by now...looking forward to checking out the rest thanks all bench
  8. Terry Boers today read a statement from Royce Clayton about steroids, about the party being over for users...guys who hit mamoth home runs in the past are now just reaching the warning track & that this year real baseball will be back...he wants to see the players who cheated get caught. I'm not quoting I'm just giving a brief synonsis from memory...hopefully the full quote will hit the sports pages nationwide, finally a player is standing up & exposing the truth I never liked Clayon when he was a Sox...but I admire him for his stance on this bench
  9. can anyone tell me how the Twins benefitted from the Nomar trade? they gave up Mankeiwicz for a minor league player I've never heard of I don't get it go go Soxxxxxxxxxx bench
  10. valponick, you are right about the matchups for the 1st 3 games & that seems to favor the Sox Sunday is Mulder vs to be announced for the Sox, they seem to leaning toward Schoenweiss for Sunday giving Loaiza an extra day off We need a good trip!!!! go go SOXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX bench
  11. we'll have to give 'em the love ourselves for awhile
  12. I don't think the AL wildcard goes to the Red Sox...It'll come from the West, the NL wildcard won't come from the West, likely the east or our frinds the Cub
  13. ESPN ranks 'em for week 13: 1 Yanks 2 Cards 3 Red Sox...they'll tumble 4 Rangers...great 1st half 5 Gaints...they can thank their weak division 6 Sox (that's right it's the CHISOX) 7 A's 8 Cub...no comment 9 D Rays...surprise oops I forgot 1 of the top 10....but it ain't the Twins, they were 13th our guys are on the rise!!! go go SOXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
  14. after Carlos' HR...did'ja see Konerko's at bat? he got a pitch in his wheelhouse & just missed it, with any luck that flies out deep to right did he act like he didn't care? he cared bigtime...this team has heart! bench
  15. shoney needs to pick it up soon, chances are he'll settle in as the 5th starter & not pitch much in the early season.....Buehrle & Garland are lights out great right now, Danny Wright is pitching well & according to Cooper seems to be over his injuries of last year, if Loaiza is ok then 4 starters is fine for most of April....hopefully Loaiza comes back strong & shoney gets his head out of his butt...can't trade for a quality starter now the bullpen seems fine... bring on the opener go go SOXXXXXXXXXXXX bench
