  1. QUOTE (SeƱor Ding-Dong @ Jun 5, 2014 -> 10:01 PM) Where does Adams project to be in our top prospects? Fighting for #2 with Anderson.
  2. Zoom, I normally would agree with you, but LeBron had more hype coming out than any player I have seen in my 30 years. Here is one article of many on his hype. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/ncaatourney03/story?id=1533960 "I don't think there's a chance he goes ahead of LeBron," one prominent scout said. "Anthony's a great prospect, but when you compare his game to LeBron's, LeBron wins out simply because he's just got a better feel for the game. I think Anthony will be an All-Star in the league some day, but LeBron has the chance to be a legend. He has a certain feel, a knack, for the game that just doesn't come along very often. Guys like Kidd, Kobe, Jordan have it. And that's what separates them from the pack." "LeBron's a once in a decade talent," a Western Conference GM said. "Teams always say that you draft the best talent, you don't draft for position. It doesn't always work out that way, but in this case it will. No one in their right mind would pass on him. He's about as sure a thing as you can get in the NBA draft."
  3. Unfortunate that you have to continually wonder about our minor league instruction.
  4. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 06:55 PM) It's not just this game, he's done it most of the year. UNC would be decent if they had any shooting beyond Paige. The next recruiting class should help there. Yep, should finally be enough talent to overcome Roys coaching again. Good luck the rest of the way Heads.
  5. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 06:42 PM) I know his stock gets dinged because he's ancient, but I would LOVE to use a late pick on Kane. He is solid, but any pg is going to torch UNC for 30+ points. Time for Ol Roy to hang it up.
  6. Not sure what form of liberal you are looking for, but Austin is liberal politically and very open to different lifestyles. Austin is a beautiful city, but it's not for me. People are trying way too hard to be "different", very similar to Portland. Hippy culture is a pretty good descriptor, but so is great food and amazing weather.
  7. Duke if Parker and Hood are aggressive. Syracuse if not.
  8. QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 22, 2014 -> 05:57 PM) Dropbox is at the top of the chart in terms of reliability. They don't overextend -- they say you're going to put this s*** in a folder, and it's going to be in the cloud ASAP. It will be wherever you want Dropbox to be. Nobody is going to break into your Dropbox unless you give up your password. Afraid your password will be stolen? We have two-factor authentication for that. Do you want that app called [all apps] to sync to Dropbox? Great! Since we were the first/best to the consumer market, every app that has a cloud option has Dropbox. Want to share a file? Here's a secure, unsearchable link. Want a more secure method to share? We have options for that. I use a lot of Skydrive/Onedrive since it makes it easy for me to deal with Office documents on the go (it allows me to load a temporary copy of Office on any computer since I'm an Office 365 subscriber), but I love Dropbox for pretty much everything else. I think there is a lot of money in cloud storage -- I also don't disagree that there are going to be some losers in the scramble for this business. Dropbox, though, will not be the loser. They are going to be the winner. They apparently have a very dev-friendly API and a huge userbase that makes Dropbox THE service to have if you want it to play nice with any other app/program/service. Well put, and the API is fantastic. Simple token exchange and JSon return and is well documented.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 22, 2014 -> 08:03 PM) It was a block but it wasn't the worse block/charge call you'll ever see. Boeheim can't lose his team the game like that. That's awful. You won't agree, but something needs to change with the calls K gets, especially at home. Boeheim got his first taste of it and lost it.
  10. QUOTE (Willard Decker @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 06:13 PM) Smart is wrong for putting his hands on a fan. What was said to provoke him is important only in determining how the fan in question should be disciplined. We've only the fan's word that he didn't use a racial slur. Neither Marcus Smart or Travis Ford was willing disclose what they thought he said. I don't know if their reluctance is due to their wanting to keep the incident relatively contained or if it's because they don't feel comfortable discussing such a sensitive issue in public. I will be disappointed if Texas Tech does not impose their own sanctions on the fan in question: I won't use his name because he doesn't deserve the attention and believe it's highly inappropriate for him to voluntarily abstain from attending remaining Texas Tech men's basketball games. The decision is not his to make. --Captain Decker Just getting this straight. Fans should be banned for cursing at opposing players?
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 06:03 PM) No, I stand by what I said. You are a 40 year old "superfan" at a college sporting event and an opposing athlete ends up in the crowd, so you call him a piece of crap? Yeah, you suck at life and should be banned from attending games for a while. IMO he comes off looking much worse than Smart. When you attend your first sporting event you are going to be horrified. Duke fans chanted "wheres your daddy?" to Steve Kerr after Kerr's dad passed away. Telling a 20 year old he's a piece of crap is stupid, but Orr apologized to him right after he said it.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 05:51 PM) If that's true, I take back everything I said. Smart's a moron if this is the case. Do you know how many thousands of posts on twitter, other message boards etc. villified Orr and Tech as racists over the last day? Thats a lasting impression and it will just be swept under the rug for Smart, Desmond etc. I can't even begin to explain how much this makes my blood boil. Ugh.
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 9, 2014 -> 05:22 PM) So video came out. Smart was called a "piece of crap". So much for that. What an idiot. Embarassing for Smart and Desmond, both are absolute pieces of crap. Orr banned himself from games for the rest of the year.
  14. Pretty scary what the race card can do, regardless of lack of truth behind it. Deadspin
  15. Dolce Gabana Light Blue is awesome.
  16. QUOTE (farmteam @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 08:27 PM) One way or another, no way Mack Brown is coaching that team next year. Texas has been out of the national title picture for too long. Pretty much since Vince Young left, right? They were great until 2009, but couldn't find a QB since then.
  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 09:22 PM) That's what you think going into a game against Kansas State.... Yep, Syder is one of the all-time greats for a reason.
  18. What a ridiculous season 7 games into it for UNC. Lose to Belmont 9 point win over #3 Louisville Lose to UAB 14 point win over #1 MSU
  19. Where I grew up there wasn't a pro sports team within 6 hours(I know). With colleges I became a long distance UNC fan because my sister and her family lived in Raleigh-Durham. They were attending/working at Duke, but that was when Duke was dominant in the early 90's, and I had the opposite effect of Rowand44. I liked UNC because everyone else was on the Duke bandwagon. Then when choosing a college, I hated the fact that Texas and A&M were handed everything on a sliver platter. For instance, Texas makes 220M+ a year on oil money from the state, A&M gets 110M+, and little ole Texas Tech gets 0. Tech has to fight for everything in life, and had to spend 5 years busting ass just to get 10M a year in research money from the state. Pro teams: I loved the Steelers during a time where they hadn't won a super bowl in almost 3 decades. Bettis and the D were my reasons. I loved the Heat before Wade, Shaq, or the current roster were around. Timmy Hardaway and Zo were my reasons. I loved the White Sox because I could actually watch games on WGN, and everyone else was a retarded Cub fan it seemed. The Big Hurt was my main reason. Then 2005, 2006 happened and suddenly I looked like a band-wagoner.
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 05:42 PM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colle...0,6080996.story No NCAA Football game in 2014. Truly sad for me. I have been buying them and Madden since the beginning. Those two and The Show are the only games I really play each year. I can feel my video game days slipping away. The good news for me is that Gran Turismo 6 is coming out December 6th.
  21. I apologize guys, I should have told you that Tuberville was a horrendous coach and would screw Cincinatti up in a hurry. They probably still don't even realize what they are in for.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 11:04 PM) Nice to see you back around here. Thanks, it's pretty cool to have some of the same folks around posting for a decade now. Pretty crazy.
  23. Man, I love this time of the year. Fun first few days of college football.
