  1. Terrero and Fields.....sadly, it's two guys I think have the best chance at a walkoff homer.
  2. I can't wait to see Uribe get to leadoff this inning. Nothing like having such a bad bench, you can't ph for one of the worst hitters in all of baseball.
  3. QUOTE(max power @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:38 PM) So you blame AJ? Not sure who's calling his pitches. AJP is a bad defensive catcher though.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:46 PM) Can't see the game, but maybe the TV gun is bad. He was hitting 95 the past week or so. The TV gun has been accurate all day, in regards to how fast guys normally throw. You can also tell how these guys have no problem making contact with his fastball.
  5. Well, we just suck right now. 92 mph fastballs with no movement isn't going to get the job done. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:47 PM) I hate how any single to Dye makes it 1st and 3rd. I hate Jermaine Dye playing for the Sox.
  6. Pretty sick piece of hitting by Loretta. Again, what in the world is going on with his velocity? Stupid pitch calling there, as you can remember how good he is on those pitches.
  7. 91 mph fastballs by Jenks so far. What is going on with his velocity? You'd think he'd be fresh.
  8. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) 3-1 count is usually the best hitters count. with 3 balls, the pitcher obviously doesnt want to walk the guy, it forces him to throw a strike Don't quit your day job.
  9. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:39 PM) way to swing at a 2-0 count JD! / Are you serious?
  10. Good grief Jermaine....that fastball was right down the plate. Dye has such a massive uppercut....he's not even hitting the ball hard.
  11. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:36 PM) Toby? Nah....AJ's been decent against lefties this year, and Miller is a lot worse than Qualls, who would have been in to face Hall.
  12. It would be a nice time for the Dye liner up the middle that he's had about 5 times in his career to give us the go-ahead run during his career late in the game.
  13. How did he not hit those pitches? Those were some meatballs up to the plate.
  14. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:34 PM) Unfortunately the 2007 version of Konerko is not the October 2005 version of Konerko. That's Thome's second 2-RBI single against Miller. He also has a walk in his 4 career PA's against him No one has ever accused Garner of being a good manager.
  15. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:31 PM) Thank you Garner for being a complete idiot. All they had to do was set up Konerko for the DP. I can't blame them though. Thome's been real bad vs lefties....and I'm sure he doesn't have good memories of PK vs Qualls with them loaded.
  16. THOME!!!! That a boy! The legend of Buckvich.
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:28 PM) They would just walk Thome and we would get a Paulie DP. I'll take my chances with Konerko against Qualls with the bases loaded. They're going to face Thome here. If not, they would have brought in Qualls to face Iguchi. I love playing not to lose!
  18. Unreal....we're playing right into their hands by putting Thome in a situation where he has to hit a lefty.
  19. If Ozzie has Iguchi bunt here, I'm going to punch him.
  20. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:23 PM) I would totally buy his jersey at the end of the regular season if somehow Bukvich was responsible for the Sox's success. Have you ever seen anyone wear a Geoff Blum jersey with the Sox (besides for Geoff).
  21. I'd add to that: Josh Fields defense, and Jermain Dye's expiring contract.
  22. The fact that Prinz and Buckvich are on the major league roster is such a pathetic showcase of this organization.
  23. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:16 PM) Oh well. They won't win today. There's always tomorrow. Once you realize that they have no shot at contending this year and stop paying attention to the standings, each individual loss isn't as bad. Yes, it's much easier to take the losses now. I'm more upset with the idea that we're not going to sell off the players that need to go. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:17 PM) Thypical Thom. Rip the hell out of a player before knowing the entire situation. I think I'm the only one that likes him, but that's because he did the amazing Boise St/Oklahoma game. Can Buckvich allow two slams in two appearances?
