  1. Pretty sure Kiper gave the Seahawks a C- after the draft that netted Wilson, Wagner and Irvin. During the draft I can get a little pissed at picks I don't like, but then I immediately turn on the GMs side as soon as someone says " he could've gotten him in the 3rd or fourth round." frankly the info fans have available to them is shoddy at best and gets even worse after top 20 are gone.
  2. Yeah wow I thought Wes Johnson was RT that game. Strange he lined up there for fourth and one play when Sam played inside.
  3. QUOTE (Boogua @ May 11, 2014 -> 05:22 PM) Clearly they saw things on tape that they didn't like. If he was a better talent he would have gone before the 7th round. And it's not like I'm the only one who brings up the 9 sacks thing. It's always brought up as to why he has fallen. Near sacks aren't sacks. He had a good year and was a good college player, but he's likely to fail in the nfl. Sure. No you aren't only one who brings it up but it's still silly logic, and it's meant to imply that he had no impact outside of three games which is not true. And near sacks aren't sacks but again his pressure was affecting the games. He also ran a 4.72 at his pro day so he's not as slow as that time suggests, and even if he is he clearly has a great first step.
  4. QUOTE (Boogua @ May 11, 2014 -> 05:13 PM) Burfict dropped a ton after a horrible combine. Wasn't even drafted and is now a starting linebacker for the bengals. Sam not only had a horrible combine, but his tape didnt look great after they figured out he got 9 sacks against 3 teams and might have benefited from playing with other talented players on the mizzou line. He also doesn't have a position in the nfl. Wesley Johnson was just drafted from Vanderbilt, and was who Sam got 3 sacks against. I've had to post this same thing multiple times and the same stupid line keeps coming up. Sam also had a sack against Georgia taken away because of another lineman lining up in neutral zone and multiple near sacks of Manziel in that game. He also sealed the mizzou Bowl victory with a strip sack seen above. He got SEC Player of the Year for more than 3 games.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 11, 2014 -> 03:38 AM) Makes you wonder if this team has been drug tested yet this season With exception of Ramirez, it's not like power #s have gone way up.
  6. Remembering now why draft coverage sucks. You'd think with 20 hrs of airtime they'd go through each team and what they did in offseason and who they drafted. Nope I've basically just watched a loop of stories on Cleveland St. Louis max and Oakland for three hours.
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 10, 2014 -> 02:10 PM) Wouldn't mind Gaines or Washington. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Sam tonight. One of my friends got a Snapchat from him yesterday saying he was excited to get drafted, so there's that. Apparently Briggs game vs Clowney was big reason he got drafted second. Hopefully Gaines game vs Evans will get him drafted sooner than later
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2014 -> 02:05 PM) Presumably that means another position will be the one that becomes incredibly banged up and has to sign someone off the street. Linebacker or receiver.
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ May 10, 2014 -> 04:04 AM) Will Sutton Ego Ferguson Jay Ratliff Stephen Paea Nate Collins LaMarr Houston Jared Allen Willie Young Israel Idonije David Bass Cornelius Washington Austen Lane Tracy Robertson Trevor Scot Finally some real depth. We hopefully will not have to sign any dlineman off street to perform.
  10. Yeah I hate the ego pick. But I also think team needed some run stuffers. A lot of quicker pass rushing tackles. I hope he performs. Would like a late round pick on Mizzous Ldamian Washington.
  11. Man I just can't get over how insane the Rams line is.
  12. The question should have been why didn't carolina trade for Johnson.
  13. why not just trade up to get the top 15 player if you want value?
  14. Don't do it Phil. You will always have players with 1st round grades available in 2nd because your grades are CRAZY.
  15. I think there are going to be a lot of RBs in 5th and 6th, not sure the talent will be that crazy. Also on last draft, I'm still very intrigued by Wilson, but nothing yet to base that on. Per Kony Ealy, I thought he was a surefire 1st rounder, do you think he's gone among first few picks in second?
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 9, 2014 -> 04:16 PM) What is the knock on Hageman, motor? Because the guy is a giant, isnt he? I can't believe so many DTs and DEs fell. Certainly has not been case past few drafts.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 9, 2014 -> 03:32 PM) So now you are referring to the Bears plans and not scouts? Overwhelmingly scouts reports are that he is going to be a starting corner in the NFL. Any talk of safety is because the Bears have a need there and people assume they would move him to a hole. Safeties are much easier to find than starting corners and I think they will find one. okay. Despite clear indications that he is a versatile player I will concede that he is not at all a versatile player.
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 9, 2014 -> 04:00 PM) This tells me that 78% of people watching the NFL draft are idiots for unnecessarily subjecting themselves to Chris Berman. That was us. I clamored for NFL Network but people didn't want to have to listen to Mariucci. He's bad but Gruden's crying for Manziel was worse than even Berman. And Ray Lewis was just spitting nonsense all day.
  19. From Fuller: "“Coming in, I like feel they know I can play corner or nickel; possibility of safety, whatever it is. I’m a versatile player," Fuller said. "I know they’ll put me in the best situation for myself and the team."" I'm not crazy, this was talked about a lot last night.
  20. QUOTE (Boogua @ May 9, 2014 -> 02:16 AM) Don't be surprised if he moves to safety: “I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being a safety,” a second scout said. “He’s just a really good football player from the standpoint he knows what he’s seeing. There were a couple games he played the Will linebacker spot against the option teams. He’s just a smart football player, and he’s got the talent, too. I’m not going to say he can’t play corner in the NFL, but I think he has the potential to be a Pro Bowl-caliber safety, whereas he doesn’t have the elite speed outside, that might hurt him at times out there (at cornerback).” From: http://www.packersnews.com/article/2014043...;nclick_check=1
  21. The ones from pages ago in this thread that said he could play safety.
