  1. Yeah I thinks that's right. I can't decide between decker or mike Wallace. I feel like Wallace will be targeted more after b****ing, same for decker.
  2. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 10:54 PM) Im liking NHL 14 so far. The hitting is a little unrealistic but its fun. Im getting anxious for GTA now that its so close. I cant wait till the online play opens up at the end of the month either. After reading that article chili posted a little while back about it, it seems like its gonna be incredible. Is it true like 4 fights a game break out?
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 02:58 PM) The experts were too quick to hand Oakland the #1 pick in 2014. Jacksonville is gonna give them a run for their money. No team is as good or bad as they look in week one.
  4. Does madden have a feature where you can speed thru the last minute during kneels. s*** is annoying.
  5. QUOTE (Boogua @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 05:44 PM) The bears O/U was 8.5 wins and I think it was juiced for the over. I think consensus would say most people (or at least those who bet) think the Bears will be better than 8 wins. The mean projection for Bears wins was 8.1 on football outsiders almanac though. I think that's about right. Looking at a former 10-6 team and picking them apart, you have to believe they will not come close to matching 9 defensive TDs this year, which would mean certain regression. Now, we think the offense will be better, but I've thought that every year of my life.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 05:51 PM) Hmm Williams over Bostic still? Bostic still needs a lot of seasoning in play recognition. Especially this year it seems a lot of new packages are going to come to light, best to be disciplined in that case. Not at all disappointed to see DJ Williams play.
  7. Got caught up in an auction draft, not sure who to start of WR2 of: Decker Welker Jennings sigh.
  8. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 01:39 AM) So its cool to be an asshole to other posters and call them names now if they have a different opinion on a topic? Here here
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 20, 2013 -> 03:38 PM) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/players-vie...luate-pitchers/ This is a great article about the player's perspective on this issue. Notice how no one says that the most important metric to evaluate a pitcher is W-L. A few bring it up, but none of them say it is the most important. I think Glen Perkins' explanation is pretty good here. Thanks for sharing that, very cool. Didn't realize how in tune players were to advance stats. Glen Perkins was interviewed during Sox/Twins series. He seems like a pretty interesting guy, very good in interviews.
  10. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Aug 17, 2013 -> 06:29 PM) So I heard it a couple days ago. Kendrick really killed it. However, within doing so he opened up a lot of doors for rappers to target him. This was supposed to be intentional I guess. He makes a lot of claims that have not gone unnoticed. My favorite is Lupe's response... Lupe absolutely murdered it!!!! SLR 2! Wonder if Kendrick will reply to anyone that's responded. Hope so... he can't just start it and bow out. That dinosaur lyrics to adolf rapping was the most embarrassing thing I've ever heard.
  11. Seems like a solid guy. #teamwebb I'm just pleased that I finally notice Bears rookies playing well in preseason. I've always just had to convince myself that they will develop at their own pace. I remember Urlacher in one of his first preseason games knocking out a QB. It was illegal, and terrible, but it was begging to be noticed.
  12. PTATC can you comment on whether Paulie's back pain is affecting his sleep?
  13. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 16, 2013 -> 05:10 PM) Speaking of, he's actually having a really good season in the California League this year. Still only 22. Good for him, I shouldn't make fun, wasn't his fault he was involved in that stuff.
  14. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Aug 16, 2013 -> 05:48 PM) I hope Zapata breaks onto the scene and gives us something to be excited about next year. I obviously hope he breaks out, but in order to keep my sanity I try and hold back on expectations on prospects that young. Heck, I'm still waiting on Juan Silveiro to finally make his way to the big leagues....what's that you say?
  15. How about Nick Collins, guy sure has made me feel better about our thin depth. Though, if 2 DTs get injured, yikes.
  16. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...gth-to-question Nothing here most haven't already said, though they probably should cover Hawkins age at that level. BUT, to tie into a thread in PHT. I will also defend players in this era for letting things get to them when they have to deal with Twitter and commenter trolls. The like, third comment is, "Maybe Hawkins would hit better if he stopped tweeting at white women all day". WTF. Kid is 19 and has to read this crap.
  17. I did a fist pump this morning when I saw that the sox lost in a walk-off. I kind of like the way the past few games have gone. Lots of positives in SP and young position players, bullpen blows meaningless games in the end.
  18. Was incredibly pleased with Long. He definitely is a strength as a run blocker and was standing his guys up as a pass blocker. I thought he looked great, and was one of the few times I've noticed a lineman's athleticism. I think DJ Fluker is destined to be a guard in this league, albeit a punishing one. He looked real slow vs. speed rushes but was dominating in the run. Lastly, pulling so hard for Marquis Wilson but I don't know if they can keep him if he does nothing on special teams. Didn't notice him at all last night.
  19. BIG HUGE GAME TONIGHT SEASON DECIDING GO TEAM JORDAN MILLS
  20. Maybe he just meant he'd be in Chicago soon.
  21. I too have probably watched more games in last 2 weeks than first 4 months.
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 15, 2013 -> 03:42 PM) I still really, really like Garcia and I don't think the Eduardo Escobar comparisons do him justice because he's a better player than that. I think, ceiling wise, you are looking at a 3-4 win player. Whoa.
  23. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 15, 2013 -> 03:01 PM) I don't think it's a good idea to ever bring it up in public, but I also have some compassion for these situations. For most of us, if a personal or health issue causes us to perform our jobs at less than peak, the company can survive for a while with our sub-par performance, or we can take time off and either somebody else fills in and/or whatever we're working on can wait until we get back. For professional athletes at the highest level, the team takes a serious hit if the player has to be out for a while, and even if the player manages to play through it but at a less than peak level, the team still suffers. No No No, any player coming from poverty who suddenly becomes a millionaire forfeits all rights to being a human. Sick child? Who cares! I'm a season ticket holder, buddy.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 14, 2013 -> 03:22 PM) The kid is an option for Sox... http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...n-williams.html This reminds me of the 2005 fan convention where people were clamoring for Tadahito Iguchi and management was acting like they didn't know he existed.
