  1. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 08:20 PM) So, it's ok for ahb to be childish and stupid, but not the RNC? Got it. actually, yeah. You'd like to see a huge organization and presidential candidate show a little bit more maturity than an over the top poster on a baseball message board. Well, I'd like to see. I know I have high standards though.
  2. Wonderful speech by Michele "uppity black (muslim?) woman who hates america" Obama.
  3. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 12:20 AM) I said nothing of the party website. I fail to see your point. let me re-create a day on soxtalk: ahb2008: I can't believe this RNC would do this this is childish and stupid responder : oh well you do it all the time how are you complaining blah blah Clearly the difference is one is talking about a political party or media organization or political player with huge audiences and scopes, and one writes on a message board.
  4. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) Um, by most accounts, based on his LIMITED voting record, he's pretty damn far left. one account.
  5. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 11:21 PM) 99.9 percent of Sox fans thought the Sox would be 1.5 games out of first right now. during the first half of that game i was certainly worried the wheels were falling off.
  6. It's so much easier to love AJ than it is to hate him. Everyone should join in.
  7. but I have to say, man it is soooo frustrating seeing our infield play so poorly. OC is just driving me crazy. We played so fundamentally poor today.
  8. what a win. How huge!
  9. before Paulie got up to bat I said "it will erase everything you've done this year if you just get me a hit" so now I'm #1 paulie fan.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 08:42 PM) I agree its childish and petty, but frankly, you've been pouncing on every McCain gaffe with that same gusto. and once again, there's a difference between a message board and the party's web site. The inability for so many posters to differentiate the two is pretty funny.
  11. we need linebrink back very much. April/may linebrink
  12. why are we so bad defensively? Someone answer me that? We shouldn't be.
  13. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 05:20 PM) How's that pathetic exactly? That's pretty much to be expected. the media coverage about how he said "the next presid, vice president of the united states" was ridiculous. Yes everyone, Barack was really just a Biden strategy to win the presidency.
  14. The whole bankruptcy bill really hurts Biden in my mind. But his occasional brilliant quips "noun, verb, 9/11" make up for his verbal gaffes and he is probably the best democrat in terms of foreign policy in the senate, and it's a senate seat that wouldn't be in danger. Richardson's supposed womanizing would have eliminated him.
  15. meh, my mistake then. I can go pull up the go-to "why isn't Obama leading by more" "why does Obama have trouble with working class whites" Times articles.
  16. naw it just kind of shows, to me, your mindset. Any article in times positive for McCain doesn't register for you, but if you see any article pro Obama it triggers your brain reaffirms your beliefs of bias in major media outlets. But I'd bet there is truth that to you the only unbiased media to you would be one that has no positive Obama coverage.
  17. Ha, well anyone that made Obama-Edwards signs can have some hope again.
  18. but times is biased for Obama remember?
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) I dont think the Invesco Field one will be fancy. I think people will be the main setting for that stage.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 02:58 AM) The african american vote is going to show up big time for Obama, but I doubt the young people vote does. The allure and popularity of Obama on places like college campuses is wearing off quite a bit, you can't keep a 20 year old's attention that long. Just my opinion though, it's going to be a close race either way unless something very strange happens. meh, i think you are wrong. Main reason is the amount of volunteers is way higher than for Kerry.
  21. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 11:29 PM) I hope you realize Obama is the one who opened that door. He really didn't need to go on the offensive. yes he did he's been on answering for a month to McCain's claims it was about time he made people listen to McCain.
