  1. QUOTE (Fotop @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 02:06 AM) David Burke's Primehouse @ the James Hotel is the best steakhouse in Chicago in my opinion. Arguably my favorite restaurant in the city as well. Other spots I've enjoyed: Rose Angelis (no reservations - very good italian though) Chilam Balam (no reservations on the weekends past 6pm, BYOB though!) The Publican (didn't think it was all that great originally, but have enjoyed it the couple times I've been back) Follia (another good italian spot) Hub 51 (best way I can describe it is higher quality bar food, it's a cool space as well) and if you're one to ridiculously spoil yourself every now and then: L20 Best damn chicken nachos you will EVER eat
  2. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 04:32 PM) I think the ones in the 100 range are just fine. I would suggest also getting a Lillibridge jeresy. I like how you did that with no green
  3. Just sick http://www.sportsfanlive.com/sflreports/en...usive_lineman_s Consensual and they talk often now? Don't hear that to often
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 9, 2010 -> 10:52 AM) Plastic has conditioned us to avoid cash. Living where I do, I have to carry cash whether its for a cab, valet, dinner, convenience store visit, its all cash all the time. My g/f lives in around west loop, when we need a cab we tell them we only have debit card so take it or leave it. We haven't had any deny us recently
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 05:07 PM) Because they ONLY take cash is what I derived. Its funny to see how shocked people are at cash only places these days, people get downright ANGRY. I know...i get pissed sometimes because I hate carrying cash around with me for some reason
  6. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 01:22 PM) I used to frequent pasta palazzo quite often and yes i highly recommend it as well. My favorite pasta place bar none is Pasta Fresh over on Harlem and Roscoe. I was told about this place by this couple that lives next door to me that fairly recently moved to the States from Italy and they completely swear by this place having the most authentic dishes in the city. The place only accepts cash and its only the husband and wife making the pasta on the spot for you so i recommend taking a lot of cash if you ever go there. Nice, I'll have to check that out...do you mean a lot of cash because it's expense, or a lot of cash to try a bunch of things? They have no website to check so I just want to make sure
  7. Checked out a new little Pasta place on Armitage and Halsted...Pasta Palazzo, it was on Food Network and a couple of other local TV shows. Most dishes are under $12-13 and it is damn good...highly reccomended
  8. Watching Soriano play defense never gets old
  9. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 5, 2010 -> 02:22 PM) Blake walks, DeWitt singles. He did both at the same time?
  10. Loving all of these Cub fans celebrating "way to start off this season on the right track with a BIG W!!!!" Although you could see this coming from a mile away, GMAFB
  11. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 5, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) Well... he was a pretty good basketball player.. but he's only 6'6 and with his weight, he'd be an undersized SF/PF. haha I know, just being a smartass
  12. Can Julius Peppers be the scoring big man that the Bulls have been waiting for?
  13. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 10:35 PM) Hey everyone, for 5 seasons now, I've been running two 20-team leagues and both of my leagues are almost full (15/16) but I still have some spots left. Cowch and Big Ed Walsh played in my leagues last year, and they had a lot of fun. They returned this year as well for one of my leagues. If any of you want to join the league they're in, send me a pm and let me know. Here's some details about my two 20-team leagues, which are on yahoo: Teams: 20 Rosters: 25-man rosters Positions: C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF, UTIL, SP, SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, RP, RP, RP, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL. Scoring: 5x5 head-to-head with basic categories Drafts: League 1 drafts on Tuesday March 23rd at 10pm central-time. League 2 drafts on Thursday March 25th at 10pm central-time. Other info: Final decision on trades are decided by commissioner, unlimited roster moves, daily roster changes, 8-team playoffs. Also, both leagues has about 14/15 returning managers each. Both leagues are currently filled up with 15/16 total managers, and we will definitely have 20 managers by the time we draft. If you're interested: please message me, the fastest way to message me is to send me a pm with your email address, and I'll pm you back with my email address as well. As I mentioned, Cowch and Big Ed Walsh played in my leagues last year, so they can vouch for my leagues. Also, I think a guy with the screen name of smashrot played as well. These leagues are COMPETITIVE! Even the best I was ever able to do was 2 3rd place finishes. I am interested in the Tuesday draft league...pm me the information if you still have room and I can join
  14. This may be a stupid question (it is,) are we going to be able to listen to this one from The Score on the internet....I buy MLB.tv so I can listen to it on the internet every year but forget if it is different for spring training
  15. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) There should be a law against the sale of jeans in excess of $35/pair, which is what I pay for Levi's on sale. I like nice clothes and the occasional nice label (and I'm really not as cheap as I probably sound), but I just can't rationalize paying more than that for different stitching on the back pockets. Personally, I've never been able to discern any other difference in the more expensive pairs. Of course, I am old and fairly crotchety. If you pay a little more for some jeans they feel as if you can sleep in them they are so comfortable.
  16. I should have phrased it better, I meant it could suck because another first-rounder down the drain and we will (hopefully) get a 2nd or 3rd for him
  17. Per nbcchicago.com, Peggy Kusinski says that Greg Olsen has quitely put Drew Rosenhaus into "trade request mode" becuase he is not happy about Martz. This could suck
  18. Per Rotoworld, talks around the combine is that Greg Olsen is on the block. One rumored trade would be to the Patriots for one of their 3 second rounders. Bears would then look into signing Brandon Manumaleuna
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 12:18 PM) Sean Payton FTW http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...tra-motivation/ nothing better than some famous shrimp cocktail from St. Elmo's
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 10:29 PM) They actually seem like a very nice family. Much less hateable than the corporation who has owned that team my entire life until now obviously. They really do, it was a cancer benefit and he purchased a table (just for an appearance) and booked right after dinner. Tables were not cheap but we all know it didn't bother them
  21. Got takeout at Kuma's the other night....ehhhh, I'd rather wait and get the burger fresh and hot, especially since it comes with fries too. Unless you are gonna eat it in your car!
  22. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/story/1298528...aking-own-pitch Peavy making his pitch for Adrian Edit: sorry just noticed the date was 02-27, sorry if this was already posted
  23. If you love fish...they also have some damn good breakfast. I suggest Glenn's Diner on Montrose, it was on Diners Driveins and Dives and lives up to the billing. Some of the best clam chowder I've ever had. They even have an apple jack crusted Tilapia! They carry almost every cereal known to man
  24. http://www.tmz.com/videos?autoplay=true&am...isShareURL=true Brian Westbrook might not be back in football next year, may take up other endeavors
