If White Sox baseball was a science fair project…
Question - why are the Sox unable to hit or score runs?
Hypothesis- the opponent keeps the baseballs they pitch to our team in a humidor.

When questioned after Saturday’s loss to the Phillies what he thought of his team’s execution, Grifol opined, “I would not be in favor of it. Just flush this one and get ready for Sunday.”

As bad as Sheet is in the OF, he's never killed someone else out there...
Or wound up trapped in the netting…or got himself hung up on the outfield wall…

I’m not a big Dave Matthews Band fan, but I saw them last month at the Innings Fest in Tempe, and they were great. Great band - can play anything. Dave is a really good frontman. I saw them 25 years ago in Chicago, and they’re still getting it done.

That may be the smallest crowd I’ve seen at a Sox game. They should bring back the Covid cutouts.

Watching “Manhunt” on Apple. It’s about JWB killing Lincoln and the hunt for him after he ran from thw theater. Really good-except Patton Oswalt is seemingly plopped into the 1860s from modern day. He doesn’t even try to seem like he’s from that period.

Curb finale was bad. Not sure why LD would think basically repeating the Seinfeld finale was a good idea. Not sure which was worse.

Eloy’s stance looks different
It’s intentional so he can exit the box as awkwardly as possible.

Wipeout slider here
That’s what it should have been. Throwing 100mph (including one inside head high), and they continue with fastballs.
Such a dumb team.

Jake just seems like such a likeable guy. The kind you could sit down with and have a beer. The world needs more like him, Mark B and Mark Grace to name a few
Sit down with Mark Grace for a few beers, and the two of you might share some additional time and space in Tent City.

I guess they bagged the 83 uniforms.
Good thing. I was sick of seeing them. Also sick of the black jerseys. looks like batting practice gear. Our standard pinstripes are among the best unis in the league.
If they’re going to wear a throwback, the Sox have so many better options.

I don't think the Sox (or any team for that matter) would think they'd lose their top 3 position players in the first 10 games of the season.
If you told me in Spring Training 3 Sox players would be injured in the first 10 games, I would have guessed Eloy, Robert, and Moncada.

My level of disconnect with this team…
I didn’t click on the article. It took me reading several posts to figure out who Hendrix was (and not due to the misspelling). Other than Jimi, the only Hendrix that came to mind way Kyle. And I couldn’t figure out why he’d be commenting on the Sox. Although, if he wants to, have at it.
That said, I think Liam’s point isn’t necessarily about his personal situation (haven’t read article) but the overall atmosphere of cheapness that clouds the Reinsdorf franchises.

So why don’t your start a few positive topics on this message board and see what happens?
I’m positive we’re terrible.

This move makes no sense on the surface. There has to be more to the story.

Outrage over calls for Caitlin Clark, Iowa surest sign yet women's game has arrived...
It doesn’t help that she’s a truly unlikable player to watch. Cries about everything. Points fingers/acts out at teammates.
Great player, but she acts like an ass

Ugh. It’s like a curse.
I grabbed the eclipse shades while I was on the app. I may wear them while I watch.

The Liberation of Being a Fair-Weather Fan https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/05/magazine/fair-weather-fan-recommendation.html?smid=nytcore-android-share
I’ve often thought it would be a heck of a lot easier to just be a sports fan rather than a fan of particular teams. Root for the best story. It doesn’t help that I follow miserable franchises (Chicago and U of Ill).
I was 11 in 1983 when the Sox were the first good Chicago team in my lifetime. When I was 10-12 years old in the early 80s, the Chicago teams were my primaries, but I always had other teams that I liked because my teams were so bad. I feel like I’d be happier if I had remained a sports polygamist.

If I was the GM I would try to sign Cease to a long term contract. He's only 28 years old. If this team is ever going to sign a pitcher to a long term contract Cease should be the one.
Why would Cease sign with the Sox after his contract is up?
All the things we don’t like about the Sox organization as fans are the same things the players have to put up with.

I actually feel bad for the fans of other teams who have to watch the Sox when they play us. It’s embarrassing.
