  1. Are you in the Toronto area? Just seems like a random team for a group of friends to all like if they’re not in that immediate area.
  2. Man, people still sell themselves on Fields? He’s not the future. He puts together a good game here and there, and everyone convinces themselves that he’s figured it out. If you have two high draft picks, one of them better be on a quarterback.
  3. You are exactly right. And I, for one, am not going to push this team on my son. He can choose a team of his own liking that earns his attention.
  4. I don’t want to sound like I’m defending Boyer (because f*** everyone in this franchise), but that sounds more like there’s a history there. Probably something where JB asks for or believes he deserves more respect than he’s getting, but it comes across to Boyer as JB believes he deserves more respect than other employees. It’s probably something along those lines rather than a personal vendetta.
  5. I know it’s different for me, as I walk to the games, so I shouldn’t talk too much s%*#. I understand the draw of the parking. Just means nothing to me personally.
  6. I have a question for the guys never giving up their season tickets despite being able to get tickets much cheaper closer to the date of the game. If Reinsdorf personally spit in your face when you walked through security, would you still renew?
  7. The next, and possibly last, jersey I ever intend to buy is a Luke Appling jersey. The one I want is never in stock anywhere. I’ve been told it’s only ever printed very infrequently. The one with the baseball in the “o” of Sox, and the baseball bat diagonally through Sox.
  8. That’s why I only said suspension. And it can be any length I choose.
  9. Or just walk away from the sport for a while. I didn’t watch for years recently and I’d say it was just fine. You’ll find something else to fill the time.
  10. s%*#, I made the same joke as Caulfield. Time for a self-imposed suspension.
  11. So we get Angelina Jolie involved, then we can get him out?
  12. It was my understanding that they could if he’s proven to be grossly mismanaging the team. And that’s gotta seem pretty clear to most people now.
  13. At what point do the rest of the shareholders try to force him out? I know they’re still making money, but they would almost certainly be making more if the franchise weren’t being run so poorly. Seems like a ton of money is being left on the table for no good reason.
  14. People are absolutely shitting on this movie online.
  15. Dude, there’s no way he wrote it. But that’s true of all athletes in any similar situation.
  16. Wasn’t on the site all day yesterday or earlier today, so I’m only just learning about this now. I don’t particularly care about this move, but man, what does this franchise have going for it? I mean this honestly. What does this team have going well? Every aspect seems to be going down the shitter.
  17. I’ve read that you just replace “x” with “Twitter” in the url. Regarding trading Cease, I think people are overvaluing him. The time to trade him was before the deadline last season. His second half really made me think he’s injured or that there’s something bigger going on.
  18. You might be the only person on Earth that’s excited to do that.
  19. Purely circumstantial, but I know very few people who are fans of him. Exactly. Think his attitude would get better if they declined his option and then offered him less money?
  20. Some other piece of crap shortstop, but for much less money? Seriously, who cares? Anderson is no good to the Sox, and the Sox are going to be dreadful no matter who is playing that spot. So might as well save money while sucking. I’m all for it. If you’re not gonna be good, might as well be bad. And if you’re gonna be bad, might as well be historically bad. And I think we may be just that.
  21. Yikes, that’s gotta be a bad free agent pool. Even if the Sox had the money to go out and buy anyone they wanted, they would still have no chance at competing with that little talent available.
  22. Yeah, he’s not getting that done. Not even a proven, great GM could do it.
  23. Yes, when someone created a thread to remember the person fondly.
  24. I’d say s%*#-talking a person who just died is, in itself, an attempt at being edgy. Edit: Especially in a thread created to eulogize the person.
  25. I agree that it’s in poor taste to s%*# on someone who just died, unless they were absolute monsters. But it’s a fashionable thing to do now. People need to be edgy. I don’t understand using full names so much though 😆
