  1. QUOTE (Shadows @ May 13, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) It wont be a debate, I like 2 Alter Bridge songs I just happen to thing Metallingus is an awesome song.. thats about where my alter bridge affair ends. I do not like creed, and I guess you can say I really don't like Alter Bridge either I listen to pretty much metal at all times.. but there are a few other songs ill listen to but just to get the record straight.. im not some alter bridge fan or anything like that LOL, the record is now straight
  2. LMAO, who chooses the singers of the seventh inning stretch? Seriously, one of the Duran Duran lead singers? How random
  3. Im seeing some wicked lightning here in Schaumburg, there is no way the cubs finish that game
  4. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 13, 2008 -> 01:28 PM) To me you cant pass up the following. From Sickles blog. I would like to see them pick up Posey or Beckham. AJ is a bit up in age and getting a future replacement might not be a bad idea. Thank god we won a few more games last year, we could of been looking at Tim Beckham instead of Gordon. Buster Posey, C, Florida State: HItting .464/.562/.827, OPS is about +63 percent better than context. Posey's stock is rising due to his tremendous hitting this year as well as the fact that he's proven to be a reasonable-enough defender behind the plate. Ranking him ahead of Smoak and Alonso may be a bit controversial but he's done everything asked of him and finding a catcher who can hit and field is harder than finding a first baseman who can hit. Gordon Beckham, SS, Georgia: Hitting .412/.524/.874, OPS is about +79 percent better than context. Has also stolen 16 bases in 17 attempts, producing power, plate discipline, etc., and he can play shortstop. Some people compare him to Khalil Greene, others say he'll hit better than that. Again, this might be controversial ranking him ahead of Smoak and maybe I'll change my mind. Baseball America rankings ESPN had an article the other day predicting Beckham to go 1 or 2
  5. QUOTE (Shadows @ May 13, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) While I can agree Creed is lame as all hell, at least Alter Bridge is way better than what they use to do Man, I just cannot agree with that. When i was at the radio station I worked at, it sounded the same, the guy even LOOKED like Scott Stapp when they came out. Maybe Alter Bridge has gone away from it a little bit, but the band is still creed, the music is still based on the lead guitarist's music. But I dont want this to turn into a debate where I rip on your music tastes and you end up ripping on mine. Alter Bridge sells a lot of albums, so they obviously have a pretty strong fanbase and I can respect that. The reason I dont like the songs is because of the way they come off when they start up. Bands like Nonpoint and RATM and Motorhead make excellent intro songs because of the strong intros to the song. CM Punks choice just doesnt scream "innovator, crazy as hell" like I think it should. It may be a good song in its entirety, i just dont think it fits the persona of CM Punks character I used to really like Jeff Hardys intro music with the heavy drum beat, because I thought it FIT Jeff Hardy, especially how he comes out with his little snake dance.
  6. QUOTE (Shadows @ May 13, 2008 -> 01:25 PM) What? Edges music is badass, and thats a real song "Metallingus" by Alter Bridge if you didn't know that.. its a good song CM Punks music is cool too, I like Killswitch Engage Ortons new music is BRUTAL.. by far my least liked theme yeah alter bridge is puss music. Anything Creed related has two thumbs down in my book But I also take into account how the song comes off when they are making an entrance. CM Punks song may be cool, I just dont think it pops like an entrance song should. Kane's music pops until the guy starts singing
  7. What is your MOST disliked intro music? For me, its a tossup between Edge and CM Punk.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 13, 2008 -> 09:02 AM) Finally watched "Anchorman" last night. Meh. booooooooo
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2008 -> 08:46 AM) Sox offense gave MB plenty last night.........loss is 100% on MB! So the back to back errors that put 2 runners on before Vlad were Marks fault?
  10. The key to Buehrle is location and keeping the batters off balance. Loss of velocity shouldnt be too much of a hindrance to him, because he never had a lot of velocity to begin with. If his location is off, he just gets tattooed out there, which is what we are seeing. His complete game against the Blue Jays, he had great location and only made one mistake, which was the game. He always makes his big mistakes after errors, which is just awful and really puts the Sox behind the 8-ball. Wasserman just doesnt seem to have the same mystique that he had last year. Maybe its the Shingo disease, one year he is unhittable, the next everyone knows whats coming.
  11. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 13, 2008 -> 04:40 AM) I remember a person was calling me out for being worried about Buehrle and his big drop in velocity (did he even hit above 86 last night?)... Well, I'm smarter than you All you do on this messageboard is say "Remember when i said this? Well i am smarter than you" Give it a rest.
  12. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 12, 2008 -> 10:24 PM) Didnt the Mayor own a bunch of the bars too? Not when I was there, no
  13. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 12, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) Ya that was the place. I wasnt sure if it was a deal like you said or if it was like $12 all you can drink beer and bowl. I cant beleive they got away with letting kids drink there with no ids. It was Carbondale, man. Anything can happen there
  14. QUOTE (The Critic @ May 12, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) I've never been that big a fan of his promos, but he's way over and Holly/Cody can certainly use the rub. I agree. Neither of them have a lot of mojo in the ring or on the mic How long until Snitsky makes his way to TNA? Please soon
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 12, 2008 -> 08:23 PM) i know randy wolf has been good this year, but how pathetic is this padres team? randy wolf and shawn estes in the rotation? jody gerut leading off and playing CF?? And the Cubs get to play the Pirates afterwards. One powerhouse after another
  16. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 12, 2008 -> 08:09 PM) Do they still have beer and bowl there? If so, can they still get away with letting kids use student IDs that dont show a birthdate as an ID to drink? Im not talking about the student center obviously either, thats just what made me think of it. Last I heard beer and bowl was still at the sports center next to the mall. But I really havent checked on it in a while. Man, that was a ridiculous deal. 1.00 beers, 1.00 games, a DJ, glow bowling. They used to pack that place in
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 06:47 PM) Looks like his back was bothering him. Hopefully he's injured...if there's someone that's due for an injury, it's him. He always has that something that bothers him at least once a year, usually cramping in the arms. But you are right, he is due something. Not that I wish injury on anyone, but it just seems to be the way it is nowadays
  18. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 12, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) That student center was such a s*** hole. They are working to change a lot of those things that me and you hated about it. I used to be on the top floor at WIDB all the time, that was pretty fun
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) Zambrano vs Padres offense with wind blowing in = recipe for a C. Zambrano shutout. Oooooooor not Something is up with Zambrano. He is in the 80's, the trainers came out and looked at him, he is acting like something is bothering him
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) Bruce Levine reporting it's almost a given Edmonds will sign with the Cubs. An unlikeable cast of characters becomes even more unlikeable. If he hits the wall face first on one of his patented back to the infield over the shoulder catches, will his shoulders pop off like lego man arms? Its gonna happen

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 12, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) I never watched the cartoon so I didnt really know what the premise was when I first watched it. It was very easy to follow and the action was good. Overall it was very entertaining. If you are just now discovering the hotness that is Megan Fox, then you should go check out thesuperficial.com Some pics of her from her new flick, Jennifers body.
