Can we just let the "BA would have made the catch" sentiment die already? The f***ing game is over, it was a brilliant one hitter that the Sox won, the substitution wasnt made, and your theories on who would and who wouldnt have made the catch are just that, theories. Who knows if BA doesnt slip on a crossover first step and end up watching it drop just like Nick Swisher. Nobody does, because BA wasnt in, thats why. Its a situation that never happened so all it will ever be is speculative, sorry BA wasnt in, but thats the way it happened. /end rant Great win last night, Contreras pitched out of some tough situations and while his stuff didnt even look dominant, it certainly got the job done. BA had all kinds of range out there and his catch at the wall was game-saving. The 3-4-5 hitters looked much better taking the ball the other way last night, and they all look like they are slowly straightening their swings out. Hopefully Jared Washburn doesnt pull his usual game vs the Sox out of his ass and gets lit up like he should.

No matter what, both Cedric and the Lake Travis PD are going to look bad. Nobody is going to completely determine who was in the wrong here, it is all heresay, a group of people partying vs the police(who might or might not be crooked). I think the DUI is going to be dropped due to the public scrutiny now, but there will still be people who think Cedric was drunk because he refused a breathalyzer, and there will still be people who think the police overreacted and shouldnt have peppersprayed Cedric. It is lose-lose for both parties Unless some sort of video surfaces of the police being complete douchebags or of Cedric being belligerent and drunk. too bad the police boat doesnt have a dash cam
