  1. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:50 PM) And finally you, the person who doesnt plan for the premier weekend and shows up exactly as the movie starts. Do not come to my row and ask that I move to your seat 3 rows in front of the large screen so my neck can be sore for a month, just so you and your girly and your friends can sit together. I came to the movie theater an hour and a half before the movie started so I can get my killer seats exactly where I wanted them. Sorry you didnt plan accordingly. And please because you are wearing a cubs hat, and I am wearing a sox hat do you think that I am poor, and that you can bribe me for 5 bucks. I probably pay more in taxes than you make in a year cub fan, so f*** off and get me my TPS reports asshole Im interested in exactly how you told Mr Cubs fan to f*** off
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ May 3, 2008 -> 08:21 AM) But that's the point. Walker is not skilled in the ability to teach in-depth when it comes to teaching the art of hitting. That's why the Sox should either get him that training, or let him go. This is the fourth season in the last five that, for the most part, the entire team goes into a slump hitting-wise and Walker appears to be flummoxed as to how to rectify the situation. Is it coincedence that the new arrival player seems to be least affected by the slump each year? 2004: Rowand 2005: Iguchi/Dye 2006: Thome 2007: Fields 2008: Quentin fixed, Dye was an Athletic in '04
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:36 AM) Good for you. For the rest of us, we have to wonder how we got 2 hits and mowed down AGAIN by just an average pitcher. You must not have seen opposing teams batting average against Marcum. This was no fluke.
  4. QUOTE (MAX @ May 2, 2008 -> 03:24 PM) Luckily I work for myself or else I'd be even more pissy. Well, if you work for someone else and get busted looking at Soxtalk when you werent supposed to because you got rickrolled, you wouldnt have anyone to blame but yourself.
  5. QUOTE (MAX @ May 2, 2008 -> 02:21 PM) I don't find s*** like that funny. I'm working. It f***s with my wallet. Soxtalk is hazardous for your career
  6. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 2, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) Broadway has also had problems in Canada. ooooooh that was such a d*** move. I 100 percent support it
  7. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 2, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) Why not Broadway? Wouldnt he lose a regularly scheduled start if he came up?
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 2, 2008 -> 02:02 PM) I really don't understand the point of this post. trying to drum up interest in the sister site
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:24 AM) Wood as a reliever is actually a horrible fit stats wise. Throughout his career, the one consistent thing about Wood has been he struggles in the first 25-30 pitches of his outings because it takes him time to find his bearings, and he struggles with control. That's a stat that been true throughout his decade or so in the majors, and when you've been around that long, the stats don't lie. where can you find that stat?

QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ May 2, 2008 -> 09:54 AM) Iron Man was excellent. I would recommend it to any super hero geeks. P.S. Be sure to stay after ALL of the credits. That means the animated ones as well as the regular ones. You get a nice little treat at the end. A type treat?
  11. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 2, 2008 -> 07:30 AM) i'm not blaming anyone for anything, i just can't believe the guy finally gets into ST and then suddenly hurts himself significantly enough to miss opening day and, ultimately, the entire first month of the season what kind of injury is it anyway, and how far along until he's ready to start platooning with uribe at 2B? This is off of his Yahoo player page. Im pretty sure its his back ribs, not his chest ribs, he was complaining his back hurt when he swung a bat
  12. It really makes you wonder how dumb some people really are. This guy probably thought that the bank had 360 billion in cash at the bank.
  13. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 1, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) They're still there. Hmm, I loaded the page once and it was blank under the article, I do it again and they are back. Wierd

QUOTE (Brian @ May 1, 2008 -> 01:39 PM) I just thought it was a fable themes episode, not necessarily a PB spoof. Can't believe that will be the NBC finale nex....wait, taking to Scrubs thread. Especially since Princess Bride is somewhat of a spoof itself
  15. LOL, Renneke has thin skin. the comments have all been taken down. Nice job Soxtalk
  16. Noooooo, his ridiculous OBP isnt unique at all
  17. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ May 1, 2008 -> 12:17 PM) Anyone think MVP could be champion within the year? Heres a list of my fav. wrestlers: 1. Chris Jericho - Good theme, Good wrester, Submission 2. Benoit - Good theme, Good Wrestler, Submission 3. Kurt Angle - Good theme, Good wrestler, Submission 4. Shawn michaels - Good theme, Good Wrestler, Submission (Sharpshooter) 5. RVD - Good Theme, Good Wrestler, Not really submission 6. MVP - Good Theme, Good Wrestler, No submission (as far as I know) I think if MVP could create a good submission hold, like the angle lock, crossface, walls of jericho, sharpshooter, he could really become of the elk of these competitors... I think RVD had the same problem as MVP does with the submission moves. Submission moves are so fun to incorporate into the match, especially when the submission means something like the Walls of Jericho, or Cross face etc. I duno maybe im thinking weirdly, it just seems almost all of my favorite to watch wrestlers have a submission, and a good style/theme/look. Jericho/Benoit/Michaels all sport the colorful long pants. MVP, RVD, and Angle had the colorful suit. Good lord I think this is the longest post I have ever seen from you. I think MVP is on the verge of getting a major push. He is getting a good reputation for being a student of the industry and he is really good at being a heel. He has been fun to watch and I never took my eyes off of him during the MITB ladder match at Mania. I really thought he was going to win that, although Im not upset at how he lost it, I like the rivalry that him and Matt Hardy had developed.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 1, 2008 -> 10:55 AM) absolutely cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye edit: lol, never realized how harsh that saying actually is until I wrote it out. That's crazy As long as you promise all that, Im on board.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 1, 2008 -> 11:52 AM) 1 month of the season has passed, the Sox are 5th in the AL in runs scored, and they are averaging 5.6 runs a game. But yeah, this team with Quentin, Swisher, Cabrera, a healthy Crede, and a healthy JD (who still has an .800 OPS even with his struggles the past few games) is the same as a lineup with Erstad, Podsednik, Andy Gonzalez, Luis Terrero, Gustavo Molina, Alex Cintron, and Jerry Owens. Right. The only two players from last year's team who would be beneficial to this year's lineup that haven't left the organization are Fields and Richar. Please folks, stop comparing the 2007 lineup to the 2008 lineup. I know it will be done again, just as the 2007 lineup was compared to the 2005 lineup several times thoughout the course of the year last year, but please, please, please stop. They aren't the same and they won't be the same. I promise. Pinkie swear?
  20. Sorry for your loss as well. My grandmother was a wisp when she passed away, but her coffin was HEAVY. Thats the only thing I can say about being a pall bearer, be prepared to do some heavy lifting, despite the amount of people helping you
  21. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 09:12 PM) I would have loved to have Fields pinch hit for Thome against Reyes today. I would love to have Fields on the team. He can play third to give Crede a rest, DH against lefties, play the outfied once in a while. He would be a nice bat to have on the bench. He's already spent two years in AAA, he's done all he can in the minors. He cant play outfield, That experiment is over. Until there is room on the team and playing time for fields, he will continue to do all he can in the minors. They arent going to bring him up to spot start for Crede and give Thome a rest once in a while
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 10:22 PM) You've apparently never been to South Dakota. A+

Another new trailer for the Incredible Hulk. I couldnt find the embed code anywhere for this, otherwise I would have posted it. I think its gonna be a cool movie
  24. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 10:13 PM) Indeed it is and it will definitly be getting all my attention now because RockStar sucks. From what I've played thus far, it's the best in the series, which is really saying something. My neighbor brought it over and we both played it for over an hour, its everything I wanted and more. The wii wheel is way better than I thought it would be, it isnt over sensitive or under sensitive. The new tracks are awesome, the old ones are just like I remembered them, the motorcycles are a fun twist on the game. Its just a great game
  25. MarioKart Wii is f***ing awesome. That is all
