  1. Is anyone else lost? What the heck are you guys talking about?
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 24, 2007 -> 03:20 PM) Subtract the Silly Peppers and I really have no excuse not to go. It's literally 10 mins. from me. Isnt there more than 2 stages? You can ignore the Silly Peppers and see other stuff. My friends have gone a few times and they say it is unbelieveable.
  3. QUOTE(WHITESOXRANDY @ Jan 24, 2007 -> 02:20 PM) I think I'd rather have, for this year, Bonds, Klesko, Dave Roberts and Randy Wynn. But, I'll give you the Nationals - wow that whole team looks bad ! They make the Royals look good. You would rather have this outfield? Are you serious?!?
  4. Nifong to face additional ethics charges
  5. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 23, 2007 -> 12:21 PM) I didn't see Raw last night - I've been laid up with some kind of virus the past couple days. I read the recap and it didn't seem like that great of a show, but if it was entertaining, that's good. I REALLY can do without this beyond-stupid Vince/Trump angle, though. Looks like Kevin Federline might be hired on as a full-time member of the WWE roster. I don't know what to make of this - as a part-time gimmicky thing, it was fine, but full time? cough*david arquette*cough
  6. The end of Raw was awesome tonite, Shawn Michaels totally went off. Orton made a good save for Edge, it was predictable, but I thought it was very well done. I thought the Street fight was one of the better matches I have seen on Raw in a long time.
  7. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 06:02 PM) Oh my God, this thread was classic. I can't believe that I wasted time and effort arguing with this mental midget... After reading through this thread today, I am so happy I wasted my time on this mental midget. I was laughing my butt off at this thread today. And its even funnier that we turned out right, i just wish crazyman were here to eat his heaping pile of crow.
  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 09:40 PM) Why is it bad to have a jersey that other people have. I have an Urlacher and a Payton Jersey, my two fav players. Why is that a bad thing? cough*that guy*cough
  9. http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/01/22/vodka.juror.ap/index.html Wow. This lady had to have her husband come pick her up after she was dismissed, im surprised they didnt notice what she was drinking until after she was smashed.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 01:56 PM) SBIMI > Tom Brady + Chuck Norris WWCND?
  11. "That guy" that calls the Score has been loud and proud today. I swear if the Bears win the Superbowl they will all cry that Brian Griese or Kyle Orton could have done it better. 1st and 10 blowhard Skip Bayless has his claws out about Rex right now.
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 01:02 PM) defense is overrated Rob Mackowiak would disagree with you Soriano in CF will be alot like Pods in LF if you ask me. His speed is going to enable him to get to balls nobody else will get to, but his lack of experience is gonna take him on some really bad routes to the ball. I think he is gonna freeze a few times with balls hit right at him, but he will be much better overall at the end of the year. That doesnt mean he is going to be gold glove caliber, but he will probably be able to get by with a little better than average defense.
  13. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) The rumor is the guy Jones wants is Lovie Smith. Angelo and McCaskey better pull out a check, tell Lovie "write in your salary", and be done with it. Jerry Jones can suck an egg
  14. One more gem from the crazyman thread QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) Well, think about this, last year the Bears decided they didn't want to spend the money on someone like Warner, and wound up with Orton starting most of their games. So if that's what they're thinking about, then signing one of those guys as a backup does make sense. Especially given that there seems to be a good shot at a lot of availble QB's this year: 3 top 10 draft picks, Brees, Kitna, Brooks, Pennington all are floating around. There's maybe a little glut to the market which could push the price down. That said...if I'm the Bears, I make the gamble on Grossman again and spend my money elsewhere, just because of how the team performed last year without Grossman. You fill in the gaps from last year (Tight End, WR, Secondary) with the couple million you have in cap room and a draft pick or two, and if Grossman stays healthy, maybe you can pull off a 14-15 win season if that defense plays like it did for the first 2/3 of last season, and if he can't stay healthy, then maybe Benson and Orton improve a bit and allow you to win 12, make the playoffs again, and then not put Tillman on Steve Smith. Balta calls his shot, swings, and becomes a legend.
  15. NFL network is reporting that Parcells just resigned in Dallas, according to Mike Mulligan! TO wins again!
  16. That thread is phenomenal, I forgot about it. I was really giving it to Crazyman, lol money quote, directed at me: QUOTE(crazyman26 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) I actually gauranteed 3 years ago when Grossman first came to Chicago he would never be a starting QB. So far I have been right but people tell me I am lucky to be right. It does not matter the reasons though, facts are facts, until he plays alot more than 2 starts in a single NFL season, he has never been a starting QB in the NFL, and I have been right since I predicted it 3 full years ago. Next year if he does not get injured, the people who discredit my prediction of 3 years ago will have run out of excuses I believe, since he will be on the bench behind Orton and no injury there as an excuse. They will have to concede I was right all along that Grossman would never be a starting QB in the NFL. Hopefully you will also concede that I knew all along what was going to happen if I turn out to be right, especialy if Rex does not get injured. Can someone please oh pretty please unban crazyman for a minute so I can rub this in his face?!?
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 08:25 AM) He was WAY too fast off the edge for the colts Saints. Not to mention he looked 100% better than at the start of the season against running plays. The guy is somewhat a freak of nature. Im pretty sure thats what you meant. And you are 100 percent right. It was insane how fast he was getting out of his stance when Brees said hike. There was a big deal made about how rare it is to sack Brees and how the Saints dont turn the ball over much, and the Bears totally dominated both of those categories yesterday. I dont understand how Rex didnt have a good game to tell you the truth. Given the conditions, and the fact that he didnt have any turnovers, I was really happy with how he managed the game. The Bears knew this game was going to be won on the ground, and thats what they did. The passing game was secondary yesterday, and Rex's numbers refected that.
  18. QUOTE(NUKE @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 09:22 PM) Including the one where nobody was covering him at all and he could have run in for a TD. That cost em the game right there. And dont forget the other one, where he was actually in the endzone with noone covering him. Caldwell left 14 points on the field in a crucial time of the game. I wonder if Brady is missing Deion Branch right now?
  19. I gotta say Im glad we arent facing Belichek in the Superbowl. I think the Bears defense will be able to hold back the Colts offense better than the Colts defense will be able to hold back the Bears offense.
  20. This Colts-Patriots game turned into a heavyweight boxing match. Punch, Counterpunch.
  21. And Ellis Hobbs takes it right back at the colts
  22. Tie game, two different teams after the half so far
  23. There is a great polish deli called Essence of Europe in Rolling Meadows on Wilke road, their prices and quality are top notch.
  24. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 02:23 PM) That's the thing with Lovie Smith. He doesn't like change, want change, or even sniff change. It's what killed the Bears last year against Carolina in the playoffs, it's what I believe will kill them this year in the playoffs. Right, thats why he changed QBs midway through a game twice in the past 3 years. And thats why he changed Offensive coordinators after one year. And thats why he took out Mike Green, the experienced safety, and put in Chris Harris, a rookie. He just doesnt change anything. Base everything Lovie does on one game, thats really smart.
  25. Bam Bam really had a tough go at it after WCW closed up shop. Its a shame to see such a larger than life character slide down the slope he has and end up dead. Unfortunately, it seems pretty rare that former wrestlers have a good quality of life after their careers end.
